Introducing Metric Profile for AWS resources
Greetings, While you're busy building your infrastructure on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud, you may not need to monitor all the metrics of an AWS resource every time. In fact, if your EC2 instance is hosting an application in the production phase, it may be sufficient to monitor only the CPU, memory, and disk utilization, and a few critical resource metrics like CPU Credit Usage or CPU Credit Balance. Along with the chief concern of optimal functioning of your AWS resources, what if you had
Persistent Notifications for Phone and SMS Notifications
Please add the ability to set up persistent notifications for phone and SMS notifications. This will ensure that an issue is resolved in case support staff doesn't respond to the first notification. This would be very helpful during night hours when it would be possible to sleep through the first notification. Thank you...
Add IP Ranges to IP Blacklist monitoring
Hello, we want to add IP Ranges to IP Blacklist monitoring. currently, we need to add all addresses one-by-one in groups of 10 which is not working for us. We would love the option to add CIDRs in or IP Ranges in one time (and pay for the amount of IP's in the range) Thank you.

Feature Request for StatusIQ: Edit of start and end time for a real time incident
Hello, if you created a realtime incident then it is not possible to edit the start or end time later in edit mode. This is not useful if you find out that an issue was already longer present since you created the incident. btw: maybe it would be better if you not offer the switch between "realtime" incident and "backfill an old incident". Could be confusing for the on-call duty process if you are under fire. What about entering always start and - if incident is already solved - end time? If no end

Disk performance Monitoring plugins for linux
Does Site24 have any disk performance monitoring plugins to check read/write IO of linux disks?
Monitor Network Location Windows Server
Would it be possible to get a feature added to monitor the Network Location Category on Windows servers. We recently had an issue where the network interface came up but the Network Category became Public rather than DomainAuthenticated, this meant that although the server was showing up in S24 it was effectively down as the incorrect Firewall settings had been applied. It is logged in Event Viewer, Microsoft-Windows-NetworkProfile/Operational, and you can see the category applied to the interface.
A developer's guide to optimizing PHP performance
With its open-source nature, PHP has evolved into one of the most popular languages among web developers. According to w3techs, 78 percent of websites across the globe use PHP as their server-side language. Even amongst the top 1,000 ranked sites, PHP is dominant, being used by more than 50 percent of them. While PHP is efficient and versatile, it also comes with a myriad of configurations and options, and choosing the wrong settings or functions could result in catastrophic performance and scalability
Option to schedule Monitor to ignore alerts not on maintenance calendar
We have a number of sites that run off generators. We know they go down at a specific time and come up at a specific time. We would like to have the option on the Network Monitor to schedule when we want to have monitoring on. Currently we have times setup in Maintenance but it clutters our maintenance calendar with items that are normal for a site and not actual maintenance. These sites are usually up for 6 months to a year then they are finished.

Webpage Speed image size control
We want to use the WEB PAGE SPEED to monitor a newspaper article page. We saw we can configure a threshold for the TOTAL IMAGES SIZE of the page a configure a % of variance. The problem is we need to monitor PER IMAGE size. Because an article can have a photo gallery and we need to consider a total size of, let's say, 5MB, but if 1 of the images is over 200k then we have a performance problem. So, 1 article with 10 images of 200k is ok, but 1 article with 1 image of 1MB is not. Actually, this also
Plugin error: output empty of not json format
I have written a plugin to monitor the number of files above a certain age in a particular folder based on the powershell template. When monitoring a single folder this plugin works as expected, however when I extend it to cover two folders Site 24x7 reports that the “output is empty or not in JSON format”. If I run the powershell script in terminal on the server it returns a valid output which according the json format checker www.site24x7.com/tools/json-formatter.html Is valid: Any suggestions

Website plugins to show status and alerts
I really like the new and improved status page. And with my MSP account i would really like to use this for me and my clients. I mailed these request but was asked to create a topic. I am sorry for adding external links but it makes the request much more obvious, if this is not allowed, please remove the links, not the request. I use a different application at the moment that offers some interesting features that are essential to our status pages. I would really like to see the features implemented

Serverless computing: The what, why, and why not
Applications have traditionally been run on servers, which have to be closely monitored to ensure there are no hindrances in production. In the case of serverless computing, you no longer have to manage servers, as the onus falls on cloud service providers. Read along to discover more about serverless computing, including some of its advantages and disadvantages. So what actually is serverless computing? Serverless computing [commonly shortened to serverless and also known as Function as a Service

Feature Request - Network Switch CPU and Memory for Dashboards (Top N)
We are migrating from Solarwinds to Site24x7. Previously we were able to display on our central NOC screens the Top 10 Network Switches with the highest CPU and Memory (in different panes) on our dashboards The only option available in Site 24x7 is to display CPU and memory in a separate graph for each device. Could you look at being able to report this in a top N table (appears to be availble for servers)
Feature Request - Add Disk Volume Size to Disk Partition report

How to calculate availability based on group statuses?
Hello. We have a web application that consist of many components. Lets say I have a webserver01 with sql cluster (sql01, sql02, sql03). I want to create a availability meter for customers to see. How should I configure out Site24x7 to handle these following cases: Case1: Webserver goes down and sql cluster is untouched (all green). Application is down and should decrease availability. Case2: sql01 goes down. Sql02, sql03 and webserver01 is up. Cluster health is yellow (cluster is not in ideal state)

Event date/time markers on custom dashboards
We would like to have a new feature on Custom Dashboards: the ability to display markers on custom dashboards details, based on datetime or period. It would help users to read the boards and visually see when a particular internal event occurred: new version on production, hotfix deployment, heavy-impact scheduled jobs, etc. Example 1: marker with a given date and a description Example 2: period marker with a description The main idea is to implement something like "Milestone Markers" for custom
Chrome complains about sameSite cookie produced by RUM
I'm got RUM configured on my website, and in Chrome, I'm seeing the following message in the console: "Cookie “site24x7rumID” will be soon rejected because it has the “sameSite” attribute set to “none” or an invalid value, without the “secure” attribute." I understand the issue about Chrome and SameSite cookies - I'm wondering what's being done to remediate this before Chrome starts rejecting this cookie. I'm using the standard code to include RUM in my site: <script type="text/javascript"> var rumMOKey='7xxxxxxxxxxxx1';
VMware ESXi login/logout events
Hi We use S24 Pollers to monitor our VMware estate, we have noticed that when trying to troubleshoot issues in the vSphere Client the hosts events are filled with user login/logout events every time its polled by S24. I've asked VMware support whether this can be disabled anywhere but its not an option. Is there anything you can look to change to stop the event from being generated?
A beginner's guide to monitoring desktop applications
Desktop applications are self-contained programs that operate without any external hosting software. While a web application typically requires a web server to translate the program into HTML content for the web browser to consume, desktop applications deliver the service directly to end-users. We use a number of desktop applications day to day, like conferencing tools, stock management software, source control desktop applications like GIT and Tortoise, photo editing tools, and so on. Even the web
System Report / Graphical Map of Monitor Dependencies
In Reference to Ticket #933054 As an admin I would like to generate a system report of all monitor dependencies, and have a visual dependency map, similar to www.site24x7.com/help/apm/application-dependency-maps.html. I don't want to go to each monitor to see the dependencies.

Server Persistent Uptime Monitoring
Sometimes servers in a Data Center can be left running for long periods of time without being given a reboot. A useful feature would be the ability to monitor how long a server has been running and set a warning threshold to alert once it's been up for a predefined amount of days. An Example would be for a Server that's been running persistently for 60 days without reboot to trigger a warning and notify agents so that maintenance can be scheduled in.
