Smaller Icons for Infrastructure Map
One icon on Size 1 (the smallest), is massive and can cover up most countries; 2 icons to cover all of Australia.. Most organisations using this system are global players and frequently will have multiple services in the same city or suburb and should be a quick fix. Please add some smaller sizes, most other systems just require a dot, any other detail you mouse over the node to find out more info.
Tip #47: View real-time changes in application response time across geographies
We've enhanced our RUM geographic maps so you can now view the response time of your application across various regions for a chosen time period. Since the RUM maps already show you your application's Apdex score, you can now correlate the changes between Apdex and response time with just a quick glance. Increased response times result in poor Apdex scores and vice versa—knowing the response time and Apdex score of your application helps you enhance the end-user experience. Aside from Apdex scores
Web Transaction Browser - Unsupported Selenium Commands
Hi, The following commands are not supported when importing a selenium IDE (.side) file. - waitForElementPresent - waitForElementVisible Whereas in the documentation of www.site24x7.com/help/admin/adding-a-monitor/advanced-web-script-editing.html the command wait_for_element_presence("identifier","identifier_value",timeout) exists. So, how comes the Site24x7 web transaction browser recorder tool is unable to convert this command ? Is there an alternative command that we can use to wait for the presence
IIS W3C log format problems
The default IIS log file format is W3C which logs in UTC time (no matter what time zone the windows server OS is set to). This causes a huge issue as it appears the Site24x7 log ingestion is performing timestamp corrections to align with the Site24x7 account's time zone. This results in the inability to use AppLogs functions as the ingested IIS W3C logs are adjusted to the incorrect time (and it orphans some log entries as a result). I can not be the only customer with this issue as i am using the
New AWS integration: Elastic Container Service
Amazon's Elastic Container Service (ECS) makes it easy to build, run, and scale all types of containerized applications. Although Amazon ECS eliminates the need to manage and operate the infrastructure underlying your dockerized application, you still need system-level visibility into the various ECS components to effectively model service and task definitions. With the ECS integration, you can now use Site24x7 to get this visibility. For example, you can monitor CPU usage, memory utilization, and
Windows agent to support Docker container monitoring
Hi guys, We are a Windows-centric company only recently wandering into the Docker era. I noticed the Windows server monitor can report on some virtual platforms, so this is just a small suggestion to take Docker into account when you plan :) Thanks Nicolai
User managment and Audio alarm in Site24x7
Dear Team, Site 24 x 7 is very good tool from M/s ZOHO which our organization is using currently. It is very useful tool and very well designed. However some need to be improve a lot in the following aspects. 1. User management . 2. Audio alarm. 1. User Management : Site 24x7 sold with the unlimited users but the design is very pathetic . We can only create two types of users only operators who can view and administrators , who can add , delete , modify etc. for all the modules in the site 24 x 7
Schedule Maintenance for a specific attribute of a monitor.
Hi, Looking for an option to schedule maintenance on an attribute of a monitor, for example, we know that between 1p-3p every day the CPU spikes for x reason, but during that time we don't want to be alerted for the CPU threshold being passed, but we still want to receive alerts for other attributes. Currently only the monitor as a whole can be put in maintenance mode. Thanks.
Graph or Report of Page Views Per day for RUM applications
We require a breakdown of Page Views Per day for RUM monitoring for applications either in a report that can be exported to csv or a visible graph on the site. It is currently going to take me hours to manually pull this data to create a report for the entire year.
Tip #46: How to avoid unnecessary consumption of APM licenses
Did you know that when your APM Insight application is DOWN, it still utilizes a license? Yes, DOWN monitors still consume an APM Insight license. Your application could go DOWN if: Your application's server is down. You've removed the APM Insight agent from your application. For the latter, even if you've removed the APM Insight agent from your application, it will still consume a license. To avoid unnecessary license utilization, you need to either delete or suspend your application. Happy monitoring!
Ability to view monitor sensor notes using iOS app
At this time the iOS app shows an Inventory tab, but not the notes section for the monitors. This makes it challenging to see notes about a monitor using the mobile app. Please include the Notes section with the monitor inventory view in the iOS app.
Create Custom alarm page
Hi, I would be great if we could create and edit custom Alarm pages with specific monitors. Regards, Alan.
Folders or some manner of organization for Custom Dashboards
We use alot of custom dashboards and it is starting to become a little unmanageable as there doesn't seem to be any way to organize them. It would be nice if there were some way we could partition custom dashboards so that they're not all just under the "Custom Dashboard" section.
Tip #45: Actionable items in the APM Insight dashboard
The APM Insight dashboard has a lot more to offer than a view of application statuses. Here are three actionable items designed to make the dashboard easy to use. 1. Did you know that you can customize metrics that appear for each application in your dashboard? In the APM Insight tab, you'll find this icon in the top, right corner. By clicking on this icon, you can choose which metrics (Apdex, average response time, throughput, error, and fatal count) need to be displayed for each application in
Reporting of Agent Versions installed on Servers
Once we do a bulk push to upgrade all of our agents to a newer version - we have no way of generating a report to ensure every server was updated. We will always find one or 2 servers who have to be upgraded manually. Can we have a report where we can see the version of the Agents installed on all of our servers - there are over 150! Thanks
Change system offline alert duration
I'm running Site24x7 on our Zoom rooms and once a week Zoom will schedule a restart of the meeting room controller PC to apply updates or do what ever it needs to do. Currently this results in me getting an outage notification every Sunday saying the room controller was offline for 2mins. I'm wondering if I can adjust this alert so I only get a notification if the PC is offline for say 5mins? I want to be able to do this without changing the polling frequency however as the 1min polling allows me
Alert for drive removed or deleted from server
It would be very useful if the disk monitoring alerted for any drive that may be deleted/removed or taken offline accidentally.
Introducing Hyper-V monitoring
We are happy to announce the release of Microsoft Hyper-V monitoring. Gather metrics on hypervisor, VMs, processor, network, storage and more for both your host server and VMs. Choose to get alerted on the status of your VM or when your memory/CPU usage starts to spike. Increase Threshold Profile Monitor Time
Right now the current limit is "Please Enter a number between 1-20 for count, 1-120 for time" - maximum of 2 hours. Can this be increased to be at least 6 hours? Thank you
Keep Alive monitoring
Hi, I would like to see if we can have a monitor added. Here's my scenario and the need. We have customers with multiple VPC VPN Tunnels. AWS shuts down a tunnel if it detects 10 or more seconds of inactivity. The solution is to set a keep alive or a ping that will ping the tunnel IP every 5 seconds. Currently the ping monitor limits the ping interval to 1 min. I would like to see if it can be changed to 5 seconds. Thanks, Concerned AWS Engineer....
Important! Changes to Microsoft Office 365 Monitoring
Following Microsoft's announcement on deprecating their PowerShell cmdlets within the Office 365 Reporting Web Services (effective from October 1, 2017), we now support monitoring of your Office 365 services using Microsoft Graph APIs and Service Communication APIs. Major Highlights of this Change: Authorization via Microsoft OAuth is mandatory to monitor your Office 365 servers Reports are populated using Graph APIs (Beta*) instead of PowerShell cmdlets Mail Traffic, Client Browser and Quarantined
Send custom notes with monitor alerts
I'm surprised that Site24x7 nor Pager Duty already do this but can we get a feature added to Site24x7 that will allow custom notes to be added to monitor alerts and have that also get passed along with the alerts to third party tools like Pager Duty? The basis for this is when a team has a monitor setup and want to add steps for triage or maybe a link that goes to a page with resolution steps for their support or operation teams. Ex: Say server X is running a web server and that web server goes down
2 Status Page questions regarding domain and SSL certificate
Hi, I have just signed up on a trial and have 2 questions regarding to the Status Page; 1. On the Status Page I see it is possible to use your own domain name, can this be a subdomain for example: 'status.domain.com'? 2. I was also wondering is it possible to get an SSL certificate for the Status Page and if so is there a charge for that? Regards, Gaz
Sorting of customers in Customer Health View on MSP Dashboards page
Is there a way to sort the customers that appear in the Customer Health View on the MSP Dashboards page? They currently seem to be randomly sorted.
Ordering of Customers Account Details page on MSP Dashboard
When I add a new customer to our MSP account, there does not seem to be any particular sorting of the customers on the Customers Account Details page. Can this page be sorted alphanumerically by customer name?
Tip #44: Capturing stack traces for SQL queries
In general, whenever a transaction exceeds the specified threshold limit, its trace is captured. SQL queries involved in the corresponding transactions are also captured by default. However, to pinpoint the exact line of code causing a problem, you need the stack trace of SQL queries. You can get the stack trace by configuring the threshold value of SQL queries in the transaction trace. By default, the threshold value of SQL queries in the transaction trace is set to three seconds. You can change

web page speed (browser)
I have setup my website under web page speed (browser) monitoring and it was detected down/unavaiable but it the website is accessible at all time and response was immediate. Can someone share the mechanics in determining down or up?
Add to SSL certificate expiration monitor domain with expired certificate
It is impossible to add monitor for the SSL certificate expiration when the SSL certificate is expired. At the moment we realized, that we need such monitor. We have the configuration error, but not the alarm that the SSL is expired (we know it at this moment and need that the site24 will inform us when the certificate will be updated by our technicians, so will send us notification about it)
Acknowledge alerts to respective teams
Dear Concern authority, We are using site24x7 with more than 100 monitors and it is definitely good tool, but one feature i expected is that if we receive any alert and if we could acknowledge it so that team know's who is working on it, they may need not to call/wake up someone to handle the alert as the person got alert already acknowledges alert and inturn it informs to the team. So hope if site24x7 implements this feature definitely helps clients a lot. so kindly consider this feature request
Tip #43: Pinpoint issues in external components with regards to host level details
In general, you can view the time taken by external components using application dependency maps. But did you know you can also find out which specific host an issue is stemming from? Let's analyze the time taken by an external component, MySQL queries, in Zylker. The total response time taken by all the SQL queries is around 1.0 ms. Inspecting further, we find that SQL queries to 10.**.***.**:5080 alone have taken around 5.3 ms. In this case, transactions made by users belonging to this cluster

With our new release, you can now view the average SLA compliance summary data in the report. We've also made some alterations to the JSON response format of the API. Let's delve into these changes in detail. Here's what's new with Executive Summary SLA report The Executive Summary
Tip #42: Avoid having page views consumed by synthetic monitoring in RUM
In synthetic monitoring, you may simulate your application from various browsers and geographic locations to optimize its performance. For instance, let's say you simulate 10 stages of your application from 7 different locations at a 5-minute poll interval. If you're using both synthetic and real user monitoring, you would end up consuming 20k (10x7x12x24) page views per day from your RUM license. In such cases, you can exclude specific user agents. A user agent is a specific piece of software that
Setting server monitors to be in maintenance mode via API
Hi Folks, Can someone point me to instruction about how to set server monitors to be in maintenance mode via the API? This is probably in the documentation somewhere, but searching for it is a bit tricky because it leads to hits on how to monitor APIs themselves, put those monitors in maintenance mode etc. Requirement is that we are turning servers in Azure on and off automatically according to a schedule, and would like to extend that to switch off Site24x7 monitoring before switching them off,
Alert profiles with minimum, maximum?
Greetings. We stumbled upon a pretty basic alert feature that appears to be missing (see #607762). Basically, it should be possible to have more than one alert profile per metric. For example, I'd like to be alerted if there are > 15k messages in a Rabbit Queue... that would indicate a problem. It would also indicate a problem if there are <10 messages in that same queue. With your present offering, I have to choose only one. Is this a feature you could possibly add? My workaround has been to add
Web Transaction (browser) monitor not running when scheduled.
I haven't seen a wider communication on this, so I wanted to make everyone aware. Web Transaction monitors across the board are not running within their scheduled intervals. We run ours every 5 minutes, however they are all running from 15 to 25 minutes between checks. If you are dependent on your monitoring as we are to check and alert in a timely manner, you should look into how this will affect you. We personally had one issue that did not alert for 45 minutes due to this (set to alert on the
Tip #41: Understanding traces: Un-instrumented blocks of code
In APM Insight, slow transactions are displayed as a list with their corresponding trace. By inspecting the transaction trace, we can find out the total number of methods tracked by the agent as well as the time taken by the individual methods. By default, the APM Insight agent tracks known frameworks and methods. However, in the case of user-defined classes or frameworks, the agent classifies them as "un-instrumented blocks of code." So, how is this useful for debugging? Let's use the transaction
New Service View for your AWS integration
Hey folks, Today, we're introducing a new Service View to make it easier for you to visualize the current state of your AWS integration. The Service View provides a user interface to access information about what is being monitored and displays the monitor count summary across active AWS integrations in a compact card format. This view also prioritizes the cards, first sorting them by monitor count and then by integration state. You can click on the card of a service you're already monitoring to
