Setting disk utilization thresholds for server monitors

The disk utilization thresholds for server monitor monitors the amount of disk used on a machine/server on a per-minute basis. Threshold values for disks can be set via three ways in the Site24x7 web client. Log in to Site24x7 and go to:
  • Admin > Configuration Profiles > Threshold and Availability. Set thresholds under Disk Utilization Threshold to set a threshold value for the entire disk
  • Admin > Configuration Profiles > Threshold and Availability. Set thresholds under Partition Disk Utilization Threshold to set threshold for a specific disk partition.
  • Server > Server Monitor > Servers > click on the server monitor > Disks. Set thresholds for individual disk partitions using the pencil icon under Action.

Setting thresholds for entire disk utilization and partition disk utilization: 
  1. Log in to Site24x7.
  2. Go to Admin > Configuration Profiles > click the (+) icon beside Threshold and Availability.
  3. In the Add Threshold Profile form, select the monitor type as Server Monitor and give it a display name for identification purposes.
  4. From the drop-down, select either Disk Utilization Threshold if you want to set a value for the entire disk or Partition Disk Utilization Threshold if you want to set threshold values for a specific disk partition.
  5. Save your changes. 
Setting thresholds for individual disk partitions:
  1. Log in to Site24x7.
  2. Navigate to Server  > Server Monitor > Servers > click on the required server monitor.
  3. In the Disks tab, under Disk Partition Details & Usage Forecasting, click on the Bulk Action button if you wish to set thresholds for multiple disk partitions in one go. To set thresholds individually for each disk partition, click on the pencil icon under Actions beside the partition name and set the value. The thresholds can be set in Bytes, KB, MB, GB, and TB.
  4. Save your changes.Note: You can also set thresholds in bulk for various resources monitored in a server.
