Server monitoring agent's maximum CPU and Memory utilization settings

How to set the maximum CPU and memory usage by Site24x7 Windows server monitoring agent after installation?

Follow the instructions below to set the maximum CPU and disk memory used by Site24x7 Windows server monitoring agent.
  1. Open the command Run terminal, enter regedit, and click OK.
  2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > WOW6432Node > ManageEngine > Site24x7WindowsAgent > Monitoring.
  3. To set the maximum CPU utilization by the server monitoring agent:
    1. Right click AgentCPULevel.
    2. In the Value data field, enter the maximum CPU utilization you would want the server monitoring agent to utilize. Value should be entered in "%".
    3. Note that the CPU utilization data of the server monitoring agent varies with each server's configuration. It is recommended to enter a value that would allow sudden spikes as well. For example, for a server setup with  configuration of Windows Server 2019 Datacenter edition with a 1-core Intel Xeon Platinum 2.6GHz processor and 4GB RAM, it is recommended to enter "2" in the Value data field.
  4. To set the maximum disk space that can be utilized by the server monitoring agent:
    1. Right click AgentMEMLevel.
    2. In the Value data field, enter the maximum disk space you would want the server monitoring agent to utilize. Value should be entered in Megabytes.
    3. It is recommended to enter a value more than 50 in the Value data field.
  5. Restart the Site24x7 Windows Agent service.

Setting these values ensures that each service by the server monitoring agent will not consume any more resources than the set limits.
