Add log storage retention

To enable log storage retention, navigate to Admin > AppLogs > Log Types and you can use the following options:
  1. Select the Log Types in which you want to retain for longer retention period.
  2. If you haven't purchased the storage add-on already, click Purchase add-on link at the Storage Retention field.
  3. If you have already purchased the log storage add-on then, choose the required cold storage duration and click Save .

View cold storage retention usage summary

The cold usage summary provides a detailed summary of log storage retention, including log usage, total and daily metrics based on your monthly Site24x7 AppLogs subscription. To view storage log usage summary, follow the steps below:
  1. Log in to your Site24x7 account.
  2. Click AppLogs from the left panel.
  3. Select either of the options, to view the log usage summary page
    1. Click the log usage bar in the top-right corner, next to the Add Log Type button.
    2. Click AppLogs - Search and select Log Usage Summary in the top-left corner.

How can I retrieve the cold storage logs?

The logs in cold storage are made searchable again in the Site24x7 web client by using ReIndex Logs. Once the logs are reindexed for a selected time range, these logs become temporarily accessible for analysis and auditing.
