Installed Agent on Windows Server - wont register
Installed Agent on Windows Server however it wont register or be read for miniroting. All other servers installed fine. Please let me know, thanks!

Do not re-register agent after re-install a server
From time to time we reinstall our terminalservers (50). After a re-installation the server register in the monitoring portal again. This is a problem because there are two servers in the monitoring with the same name! Is there a workarround (registry key or something else) available to do NOT reregister the agent and map the server to the "old" entry? How does other customers handle this? Regards Patrik
Alerts - Can we configure differently?
Hi Folks - Happy Friday, I hope everyone is doing well! Currently, I have multiple windows services being checked per each server. I have it configured to alert "down" when the service is anything other than operating normally, rather than in "Trouble". However, if a server goes down (NOT the server) the alert still says the Server when down via SMS or email subject line. It isn't until you open the email to see that the reason the server is down is due to the fact a service is down. Is there anyway
I want to Export Monitors from one subscription and import them into another
HOw can I do that? We bought a separate subscription to provide some separation since groups were not adequate. And now we have to re-enter all the monitors into the new one, one at a time.

No data available for SQL monitor
Hi, I just installed a agent in a Windows 2012 server. it promptly auto discovered Windows, IIS and SQL servers installed in the same box and it started posting data from windows and IIS server. Setup Progress Alerts
I just sent in a support ticket but thought I'd bring it up here as well as I'm sure others have the same concern. When we log in there is a warning: Internet Services: We have discovered several resources Is there a way to view the list without having to add it? The only options we get are: View List & Add Ignore How would we go about seeing what those resources are and then decide if we want to add them? The just blindly add things system that you are currently using is not a good way to do things.

Amazon Web Services detection - but as part of setup set the notification/threshold/user we want
Hi Team, Today we setup Amazon Web Services detection which goes out and finds stuff which is great. But as we can't tell the detection engine what notication/threshold/user group we want. Once detection is complete we need to go through the hard process of figuring out what is new and then go one by one and add noticaition/threshold/user group to each. (We sometimes use the bulk rollout of change as well). Would be helpful if we can as part of the detection setup, say if you find EC2 set this way,
Monitor: Web Application (Real Browser) - location question
Hi, I'm currently on a free account for evaluation purposes and set up a "Web Application (Real Browser)" with two locations 1. Frankfurt (Primary) and 2. Munich When checking the log report for that monitor it appears that the main location Frankfurt reports for every check (~6-7minutes) but the 2nd location Munich only appears ever ~30minutes/5th check. Why is the 2nd location not reporting for every regular check? Is this a limitation because of the trial account? Thank you in advance!
Feature Request - Add custom Date for SLA Reports
Currently SLA report only allows to check up to 30 days. We are interested to get SLA reports for custom dates, to check and report if SLAs have been accomplished according to contract agreements. Example: Our internal SLAs are measured by semester.
Sort Options on Various pages
It would be nice if pages with lists would allow for sorting by header. My biggest need/ask for this is under the "Outages." This currently sorts alphabetically by monitor name. I'd like to be able to pull up the last 7 days and sort by the "Start Time" of the outages so I could easily see how many outage impacts there are on a specific day. Start Date/Time seems more of a logical default sort for this type of list. Other Examples: In the "Users and Alerts" section I may want to sort by "User Role"
Agent Service could not establish communication
Morning! I need help with this agent. Already did reintallation, stop / start services, and communication goes up and down. Communication with ports ok, the server responds to the ping, but in monitoring show this agent service failure. Anyone know how stabilze this servoce? S.O: Windows Server 2008
Process SMTPD warnings Linux Webservers
Hi all, Last week I've installed the Site24x7 agent on my 3 Linux webservers running Centos 7 and Plesk. No problems, everything was fine. All of a sudden monitoring went nuts complaining about the SMTPD process failing/not running. This is true because when mail is sent, the process pops up. When Postfix has delivered the mail, the process is stopped. I rather check if a service like Postfix is active instead of a process. Any chance someone can give me some advice regarding the monitoring of services

Is there a way to add Windows Services to a monitor group? It looks like a service/process is lumped into the server as a whole - but I have a couple apps that I run different "environments" on the same server.

95th percentile bandwidth monitor
Hello, Does Site24x7 have the ability to monitor bandwidth from an on-premise Firewall? Ideally have a threshold setup that would alert/alarm when max bandwidth has been used for XX minutes to avoid overage charges on 95th percentile billing from our datacenter. Firewalls are Sonicwall, so I believe Netflow/AppFlow and SNMP are available.
API Usage: how to add linux processes to monitoring
Hi there, we configure and update everything related to an server monitor via API. Automation is KEY for us, as we have hundreds of AWS linux machines. Some of them are just alive for a couple of days. However, we need to monitor specific processes like "squid" or "httpd" on the server monitor due to its lifetime. The Site24x7 GUI is not working for us, because as mentioned, automation is mission critical for us. No human interactions please. My question is, how can we add via API a linux process

I didn't ask for Docker monitoring, and I didn't tell the monit agent I have Docker. But the critical errors log is full of these messages. EC2 stopped instances
Right now a stopped EC2 instance is seen as DOWN. However, this day and age, stopping an instance is more often than not intended. Certainly in a cloud setup where you want to save costs. An option would be to schedule maintenance for those instances, but then you need to manually do this each time you shut down an instance. It would be better if one could chose whether a stopped instance should report as DOWN or not.
Windows Event Log - Content Check - Not working
Hi Team - I'm having issues with a content check working. I have a process where I ping a large list of servers and spool results to a text file. It either spools a message saying the server is valid and is available for processing. Or, an error message based on what type of error the PING command throws. Success: And this is one of the failures: In each error message, it's prefixed with Error. That is how I set up my Content Check but it doesn't seem to be working. Does this seem to be right? Thanks!

Feature Request - Filter alert logs by Monitor
When viewing alarms you can click on the "alert logs" to view the logs of when/where alerts were sent. It would be nice if from this view it took you specifically to the alert logs for this alarm. Additionally, you should be able to filter the alert logs for a specific monitor.

Hi all, we use a proxy server for the monitoring agent on all servers. In my point of view the proxy server is the core server for the complete product "Site24x7". How does other customers implement a dependcy for all monitors if a proxy server is in use? Dependency Model: First: Proxy Second: on-premise poller (sometimes) Third: other dependencies like "Monitor" or "Monitor Groups" Is there a "right" way to set a general dependency setting for the complete suppress alerts? Feature Request - Add comments to scheduled Maintenance
Currently, maintenance events generated by scheduled maintenance have no information regarding the maintenance. This means that if users are not rigorous on adding comments, when checking a specific monitor there is no way to know if a maintenance was scheduled or not (and the reason of the maintenance). I would really like to have an option for configuring dependencies for monitors. Consider this scenario: Lets imagine 50 (or whatever number of web applications) running at a given data center or server. If the network or server goes down, I would receive alerts/notifications for all of those web sites. It would be better if we can configure a network map (such as in Icinga) or on a simpler level, have an ability to define monitor dependencies. In my scenario described, those 50 web site monitors
