Current Connections and/or Current Requests in IIS Thresholds
I would like to request the addition of Current Connections (and/or Current Requests) in the IIS Threshold Profiles. Right now, there are only three options (Site down, App Pool down, and Network Traffic), which are distinctly less useful for monitoring individual server load. I know I can set the option under each monitor by going to the Applications tab and modifying the threshold value there, but being able to set a global profile value and assign the profile to a group would be much more efficient.
Windows Event Log "Custom"
How should I monitor and configure a custom eventlog in Windows Event Viewer? The path to the log in event viewer is: Applications and Services Logs\Microsoft\Windows\FailoverClustering\Diagnostic I will monitor all critical and error events in this section. How should I configure this challenge?
Find the Creator of a monitor
Hi, Can we have a possible way to see who created a specific monitor in Site24x7? I can go to Audit logs and search to find out, but it takes a long time. Thank you
(Custom) Cloudwatch Metrics
Cloudwatch offers a bunch of metrics to set alerts on. In addition one can push custom metrics to Cloudwatch and set alerts on those. Now I'm the site24x7 advocate in our company, but it's getting harder and harder for me to sell that site24x7 can't use Cloudwatch metrics. Meaning, one cannot add monitors in site24x7 based on (custom) metrics. This leaves us no choice but to set alerts in Cloudwatch and keep using it for some alerts, while we really want one centralized solution. Is this something
Site24x7 Roadmap
Hi All, do you have a roadmap for the next upcoming feature releases this year? Would be nice if customers could see your strategy for the next months. Regards
More attributes on Custom Reports
Currently in Custom Reports, the only attribute available is Response Time for all of the Monitor Types, are there any plans to expand on this and allow for more of the gathered data to be used?
Align charts on monitor page
Currently, the Events Timeline chart is not aligned with the remaining charts on the monitor page. Even though there are some lines on the CPU chart, when there are many such events, it's hard to correlate them without mousing over to read about them. If the chart had the same width of the other ones, it would be easy to correlate things visually. So, instead of this: we could have this: It's not a major issue, just a minor visual improvement.
Allow Alert Logs to be exported
We have a requirement to keep all our logs related to outages for a minimum period of 1 year, it would be nice if we could automatically export these logs.
Option to modify file name for scheduled reports
The scheduled reports attachment naming is very common and prefeixed with date and time stamp but does not differentiate the category of reports. There should be a feature to allow us to change the name of attached reports.
MSP NOC view wording
We plan to have the MSP noc view up on a couple of screens here. With a filtered view showing only Trouble and Down monitors. If there are no monitors in this state, the message displays, "No Monitors Available", which sounds like you don't have anything configured. "No Monitors in Trouble/Down State" or something similar, would be a better description.
Roadmap Update Q3/Q4 2017
We have some powerful features lined up for the product for the coming quarter. Many of these are in advanced stages of development. Server Monitoring Product: IT Automation: This is the favorite one for our server monitoring developers. They have been on it for more than a few months. The Admin > Actions is getting a makeover, and we will be releasing what we call as our step towards helping automate your routine production tasks when there is a performance or uptime problem. Administrators like
Monitor Changes with no warning
Why did your listing of basic monitors and advanced monitors change without warning or notice to your customers? Among those affected, were SQL server, IIS, and Exchange. They were blinding moved to the advanced monitor type and has caused our organization huge issues with monitoring, breaking alot of them, suspending them and now when your monitor decides it doesn't want to report data back, if we try to reinstall the agent per your troubleshooting suggestions, we can't because he don't have the
Need to add comment for all maintenances on availability reports
Can you also check the feasibility of adding comment for all maintenances on availability reports. In our organization we have a practice of adding ticket number in comments field and can definitely reduce our efforts in reporting if this feature is enabled.
Introducing Site24x7's AWS Inventory Dashboard: Keep track of your AWS resources with ease!
We recently added a slew of new features and enhancements for our Amazon Web Services (AWS) monitoring users. Our development team put in a lot of hard work to make Site24x7 run even better. Now, you can enjoy improved monitoring coverage for EC2 instances, two new dashboards, and support for AWS service-level actions. To help you take advantage of these new features and enhancements, we wanted to publish a blog series that details each feature, explains why we added it and establishes best practices
Server and Printer monitoring
Hello, I was surprised to find that our server monitoring product didn't offer a built-in printer and print job monitor. This is a huge burden for large companies with print servers. I asked support for assistance with this, but the best they could do was offer up my request to the dev team for consideration and point to the community page. I know someone out there has crossed this bridge before me so I'm hoping to get pointed in the right direction. Here's what I need: Printer1, Printer2, & Printer
Thanks for a successful VMworld 2017.
It's been little over three days since VMworld concluded, and we're yet to get over the excitement. What an incredible event we've had this year. We're sure you had made great connections and had learned things that you can use in your business immediately. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone who had stopped by at our kiosk. A special shout-out goes to all our wonderful customers who had visited and interacted with us; surely your presence makes our participation all the
Feature Request: Custom Scheduled notification changes in App
I'd like to be able to set up a custom schedule of when my Site24x7 android application makes noise. I'm oncall once every 4 weeks. I don't mind being alerted on other weeks but only during the waking hours. During my on call week, I need it to play the alert sound even in the night time, however. I'd also like a "snooze" button to temporarily disable the audible alerts for a set period of time. Without disabling them until I remember to re-enable them. I originally asked support for them to document

MSP. You are not authorized to perform this operation.
Hello, I'ma try to test the extract the information from API but I recive the next error every time: "You are not authorized to perform this operation." I use the msp_zaaid value but don't work fine. Could you show me the correct syntax to use the msp_zaaid. Ej: https://www.site24x7.com/api/monitors?authtoken<auth_token>&msp_zaaid=<zaaid> Thanks,
Maintenance Window function is broken, or the Alerting Period function is broken.
I was asked to move this to a "Feature Request", so here goes... I am having problems with Maintenance Windows. Our I.T. department has the "potential" to work on servers between midnight and 4AM. To prevent an avalanche of emails to the Programmers and Designers, I setup a daily maintenence window for this time frame. Immediately afterwards we began noticing that it was affecting our up-time SLAs even if the server or service never went down. In fact, during a maintenance window, all monitoring

Monitor during scheduled maintenance, but don't alert
We have some monitors that look at a third-party service that is often offline at night time. We'd like to be able to have the checks against these monitors continue to run during the night time, but not to receive any alerts. This way we would have a history that we can use if we ever need to show information about their services. We're using the 'scheduled maintenance' feature to disable the monitors during night time, but this is not really what we want, since we want to continue to poll - just
Send "Up due to maintenance" notification when maintenance is scheduled
I'd like for the system to send an alert when there is a downed monitor and it is put into maintenance. The alert should include the word "UP" as a standard up alert would give but also notate due to maintenance. This will allow for autoresolve of incidents created by down alerts that occur due to missed maintenance scheduling.
Domain Expiry monitor for other TLD's
I chatted with someone and was told to make this feature request so I could be notified when it was released. I am trying to add .ca, .co, and .us domains to the expiry monitor and currently they fail.
[Feature Enhancement]: Enable smart maintenance by performing persistent monitoring during a scheduled maintenance.
Majority of Site24x7's customers rely on the critical monitor insights provided by us to offer seamless business services to end-customers. It helps them optimize their resources for a better end-user experience. However, to offer a continued service, you might want to perform routine maintenance and upgrade all your resources. An ongoing maintenance will not only extend the resource life but also prevent unplanned shutdowns. Our Scheduled Maintenance feature lets you define routine maintenance windows
Role Monitoring Microsoft Failover Cluster
The Microsoft Failover Cluster Advanced Monitor should report the status of the roles of the cluster and alert if the role moves to another node. We utilize Failover Clustering for our SQL instances and to monitor SQL instances at the moment we have to install the monitor for the instance on both the active and passive nodes. If the instance isn't live on a node, Site 24x7 reports that the monitor is down, when it is live, just on another node. So currently we have duplicates of all our instances
Using Configuration Templates correctly
Hello Community, I'm currently testing Site24x7 and I can't make Configuration Template work as I need it to. My goal is to have different templates for my servers - for instance, having a template that will monitor Spooler Service, another one that will monitor "plug and play" service (those are given as example for the sake of this support case). What I do: - I go to "admin/server monitor/configuration template" and click "add configuration template" - I configure the template: - I don't associate

Web Page Analyzer - Sharing the response time summary
Hello, I'd like to include the detailed waterfall graph in the Response Time Summary section of the Web Page Analyzer report in a status page. Is this possible? If not, how would you suggest allowing a business user access to this data? Thanks, Ken
opting the timezone settings for indivisual user
Currently timezone settings in Site24x7 can be set at the account level only and not at an individual user level. Any Admin user settings are getting reflected/changed on all the users accounts. It is causing inconvenience to different time zone users. This should be a basic need of any monitoring tool.
Is it possible to add Waterfall Chart to the saved and running script in Site24x7
Is it possible to integrate or add Waterfall Chart feature to the saved and running script in Site24x7 ? If yes, how much time is required to get this done ?
response time
Hi, In response time graph time is in ms. But we want that in seconds, Is there any option for that
Uptime on the Status Page (make something configurable)
Hello everyone, Nowadays on the status page we can show only the last seven days of status and all the calculate of uptime is based on this period. I would suggest to have something configurable, so we could present the currently month or any time period we would like to consider. Thanks a lot, Ruy
Alert Notification via email
Good morning, We've a problem with alert settings. We've configure (see the attachment), but it not work very well. Example: we've configure that NOT send email in the week-end and instead we receive. The support response: Our apologies that the 'Alerting Period' and 'Don't Alert Me' settings in the contact page applies only to the Phone(voice) and SMS alerts. The email alerts are not controlled by these settings. Hence, it is expected that the emails were triggered over the weekends. I understand
WARNING state
Right now a monitor is either in error (TROUBLE or DOWN) or not. There is no in between. It's very hard to limit the amount of nightly alerts like this. For each breach, we get an alert, even for things that could wait until the morning. For example. If a disk space threshold is reached, we get an alert, regardless of the time of day. We could create policies in Opsgenie to delay these alerts, but what if the file system is really filling up then to 100%? We wouldn't know until it causes actual downtime.

Introducing Site24x7's AWS infrastructure dashboard: Visualize the health and performance of your AWS infrastructure components instantly.
When you're running a complex production application within AWS, odds are there's going to be a lot of moving parts involved. Your application depends on the health and performance of many different components, including load balancers, compute instances, databases, and other application dependency services like S3 buckets and SNS. Although it helps to collect metric data, configure thresholds for key performance indicators, and get notified via multiple channels, wouldn't it be better if you had
Two notifications levels.
In Threshold and availability can't stablish two checks, warning for 80% RAM memory usage and critical for 90% RAM memory usage.
