Ability to select multiple Monitor Groups for Status page
Hi, First off, we love the service and features. The feature we'd like to request is important for our customers. We use the status page to display the status of our services for our partners. We use Monitor Groups to divide the business logic into segments, hence it is very important for us to be able to add the ability to choose multiple monitor groups in the status groups. Many thanks
Trouble setting resource checks with mounted volumes
Hi. Just want to know how can I monitor with resource checks the size of a mounted volume. I have an Exchange server and all my databases are mounted in disk D:\. If I create a resource check on D:\DB\AA-001-01 (being a mounted volume) for monitoring it size, it doesn't work. Thanks!
Description for Monitors
So when I add a new monitor it ask for display name then goes through the settings but there's no field there for description which I think should be added as most times and especially for those are unfamiliar with the platform, display name may not tell them what the device being monitored do or is used for...example a network appliance can be named by country, city, building floor then may have an acronym for the device but if you're not a network admin none of that mean anything so adding a description
Domain Expiry Monitor - ' Unable to connect to Registry/Registrar Whois Server.'
We've created a handful of domain expiration monitors - great stuff. One, however, refuses to work. 'monitorname has configuration error. Please check the configuration details. Unable to connect to Registry/Registrar Whois Server.' Thee is not a whole lot *to* this monitor. Is there a bug that keeps 24x7 from correctly resolving whois? BDunbar
Request for Salt Configuration-management tool with Dynamic IP address management for windows server running on AWS cloud
For Windows Server running on AWS, should register with the dynamic IP address generated by aws so that we can identify and monitor the instance by logging into the console of site-24*7.We should be able to configure DisplayName through Command line in windows same as we do in Linux. We hope you develop some salt support feature to manage that. Thanks, Akhil ExpressPlay Team
Auckland NZ location down
Looks like the Auckland NZ location has been down for over 24hrs. The site24x7 test IP's are now all coming from AU despite NZ being selected for the monitors. Is there any update on this and if it will be back up? There was a similar issue last week on the 13th which saw the response time significantly increase due to the change in monitor location without any notification. I contacted support to get an explanation and to ask if there was any issues on the Auckland location. To which I received
Custom Dashboards with R/O Access to Customers
Hi, do you have plans for Custom Dashbords .. where we can define to show which Data from which Server to a Customer ... e.g. Customer might be only interessted in seeing CPU and Memory for each Server in a combined Dashbard ... not seeing all metrics which are available ... Do you have then plans that we can give customers R/O Accesss to these dashbords? Do you have a time line? Sven
Steps to Protect Yourself against DNS Hijacking or DNS Hacking
This week, you might have come across the news about how turkey-based hackers hijacked DNS servers of several popular websites such as The Register, The Telegraph and National Geographic Channel. They re-directed the traffic to their webpage with the slogan “4 Sept. We TurkGuvenligi declare this day as World Hackers Day - Have fun ;) h4ck y0u”. These popular website DNS servers were handled by NetNames. It’s sufficient to say they had hectic days ahead fixing the problem and allying fears about further
Introducing AWS Lambda monitoring
Good day folks, We're excited to announce monitoring support for another new native AWS service - Lambda, Amazon's leading serverless compute platform. This includes preconfigured time series graphs, Lambda logs viewer, dynamic health dashboards and near real-time inventory for your Lambda functions along with metric level thresholds and alerts for all the key performance indicators. For example, you can set up thresholds to watch out for an increase in invocations, error rates, throttles and function
Feature Request - UPS
Hi there We need to add a UPS device. Model HCP504 Specially to get Input Line Voltage Temperature Battery Capacity
I am using the Web Application (Real Browser) test
need to test a file upload it says it is not allowed how can I test that ?
Introducing enhanced EC2 monitoring - Combine your CloudWatch and agent driven metrics now! (Updated with alert control for spot and reserved instances)
Hello folks! We are happy to announce that our all new (EC2 CloudWatch + Server Agent) integration will be made generally available to all Site24x7 users. For those of you, who are using AWS infrastructure monitoring to monitor EC2 instances, it might still look same to you on the surface, but a whole lot of work has gone underneath the hood to efficiently map your EC2 instance monitor, with the agent driven metrics of the server monitor. From tackling thresholds, notification settings, to AutoScaling
Create Custom Report for EC2 instances by Region
I am looking at the AWS monitoring and we had an issue in the past where someone got into our account and made hundreds of instances in other regions (we only use one region), and it took us longer than it should have to notice the issue. We have been looking for a way to either run a daily report or setup a monitor to alert us if an instance is made outside of a specific region. I noticed when I added my instances to my account with you, that the ?Region? variable is pulled and viewable. However
Problems with Business Hours
Hi ... not sure if anyone can help but... The majority of our monitors are UK based and as such most business hours are between 00:00 and 24:00 the same day. However, we have one monitor that is EST so its -5 hours behind the UK. The business hours on that monitor are 07:00 > 23:00. To transfer those hours into BST would mean 12:00 > 04:00 (with the 04:00 being the following day) When setting up business hours (as we are BST) I cannot enter a time that has a gap in the middle of the day (essentially
Two threshold for two alerts groups on the same server
HI. I created two threshold for two alerts groups on the same server, but I can't add it on my server. My intention is that group A receive only one alerts and the group B receive all alerts available on my server ?DMAS-Historico? How can I do it? Should I to create two server monitors? How Can I to create two monitors for the same server but that sends different alerts to two groups. Group A Alert when the server is down(This I already configured it) Group B Alert when the server is down, disk full,
[Announcement] Introducing Site24x7's REST API Transaction Monitor: Testing Mobile and Web Application workflows made easy.
APIs are an integral part of all modern applications. Its functioning and responsiveness has greater impact on the performance of your application and the end-user experience. With our existing REST API monitor, you can already measure the actual uptime and performance of your API endpoint. But, most modern web applications are complex in nature with a mix of HTML and REST API calls. Sometimes workflows on a web page cannot be completed without performing an AJAX request or consuming third-party
SOAP Monitor - Performance Report
Hi I am currently running some tests using SOAP monitor from Singapore to Atlanta with a round trip response time of 252ms. I am trying to figure out if the connection time in the response time graph (in the perfomance report) takes into account the SSL handshake time ? I am guessing not as the connection time is hovering around 250ms and the SSL handshake would take 3 round trips unless you are re-using the SSL sessions. Thanks in advance Paul
Add possibility to report occurences of "Monitor in Trouble" events
Currently there is no possibility to report occurences of "Monitor in Trouble" events. Please this option to your reports.

Would be nice to acknowledge a monitor alert
I have an azure iaas server that frequently goes over %85 memory utilization. It is cost prohibitive to go to a higher tier. It's a lot of work to have to go and make a new threshold profile just for that one monitor. There is no clone functionality to just tweak one setting. It would be nice to be able to acknowledge an alert and no longer get constantly spammed about it.
Group by AWS Tag
It seems today you can add monitor groups/subgroups and add instances in there as needed. It would be helpful if you could set the monitor group/subgroup to contain all AWS instances discovered with a tagging condition (i.e. Name contains ___) The advantage with this is if we tagged new AWS instances they?d automatically fall under the right group/subgroup.
Important! Upcoming changes for AWS infrastructure monitoring users.
Site24x7's AWS infrastructure monitoring support for the Amazon S3 service will be discontinued from 28 September 2017 onwards. The Why? As you may already know, the monitoring coverage offered for the Amazon S3 service was limited. Though basic storage level metrics were shown on an individual bucket basis, thresholds, alerts, reports - all important aspects of monitoring were missing. Well, we feel this level of coverage doesn't cut it for a core service like S3. Enhanced S3 monitoring in the pipeline.

Real Windows Service Monitoring
While evaluating your service, I noticed that if you pause a monitored windows service, no alert is triggered. If a service is in any state other than "Running", it is not up and should trigger an alert. This suggests to me that you are saying you are monitoring the service in the UI but you are actually monitoring the process under the covers. What if a service hangs at starting or stopping? The exe would technically be running but not functional thus in an error state that you would likely miss.
Active object monitoring templates
It would be great if I could create and associate monitoring templates with groups of servers. Template one monitors windows services "Windows Serv 1" and "Windows Serv 2" Template two monitors windows services "Windows Serv 3" and "Windows Serv 4" I have these two groups associated with 100 servers. Tomorrow I realize I missed a service that should be associated with Template two so I add "Windows Serv 5" to that template. Apparently this only affects newly added servers or servers I go purposely
Suppress Restart Outages
Currently any server restart is seen as an outage and causes an alert. We perform automatic windows updates and restarts, although these are scheduled the scheduled time doesn't dictate the exact restart time, we do not wish to have long maintenance periods and so would like a feature to automatically set the server into maintenance mode following the restart event system 1074. We have tried to do this using a scheduled task and powershell script to the api but it appear the agent is killed and alerts

Current Connections and/or Current Requests in IIS Thresholds
I would like to request the addition of Current Connections (and/or Current Requests) in the IIS Threshold Profiles. Right now, there are only three options (Site down, App Pool down, and Network Traffic), which are distinctly less useful for monitoring individual server load. I know I can set the option under each monitor by going to the Applications tab and modifying the threshold value there, but being able to set a global profile value and assign the profile to a group would be much more efficient.
Windows Event Log "Custom"
How should I monitor and configure a custom eventlog in Windows Event Viewer? The path to the log in event viewer is: Applications and Services Logs\Microsoft\Windows\FailoverClustering\Diagnostic I will monitor all critical and error events in this section. How should I configure this challenge?
Find the Creator of a monitor
Hi, Can we have a possible way to see who created a specific monitor in Site24x7? I can go to Audit logs and search to find out, but it takes a long time. Thank you
(Custom) Cloudwatch Metrics
Cloudwatch offers a bunch of metrics to set alerts on. In addition one can push custom metrics to Cloudwatch and set alerts on those. Now I'm the site24x7 advocate in our company, but it's getting harder and harder for me to sell that site24x7 can't use Cloudwatch metrics. Meaning, one cannot add monitors in site24x7 based on (custom) metrics. This leaves us no choice but to set alerts in Cloudwatch and keep using it for some alerts, while we really want one centralized solution. Is this something
Site24x7 Roadmap
Hi All, do you have a roadmap for the next upcoming feature releases this year? Would be nice if customers could see your strategy for the next months. Regards
More attributes on Custom Reports
Currently in Custom Reports, the only attribute available is Response Time for all of the Monitor Types, are there any plans to expand on this and allow for more of the gathered data to be used?
Align charts on monitor page
Currently, the Events Timeline chart is not aligned with the remaining charts on the monitor page. Even though there are some lines on the CPU chart, when there are many such events, it's hard to correlate them without mousing over to read about them. If the chart had the same width of the other ones, it would be easy to correlate things visually. So, instead of this: we could have this: It's not a major issue, just a minor visual improvement.
Allow Alert Logs to be exported
We have a requirement to keep all our logs related to outages for a minimum period of 1 year, it would be nice if we could automatically export these logs.
Option to modify file name for scheduled reports
The scheduled reports attachment naming is very common and prefeixed with date and time stamp but does not differentiate the category of reports. There should be a feature to allow us to change the name of attached reports.
MSP NOC view wording
We plan to have the MSP noc view up on a couple of screens here. With a filtered view showing only Trouble and Down monitors. If there are no monitors in this state, the message displays, "No Monitors Available", which sounds like you don't have anything configured. "No Monitors in Trouble/Down State" or something similar, would be a better description.
