Site24x7 monitoring from Cloud Regions
I know we can maintain our own pollers to do this but it would be a great added benefit to Site24x7 to have actual site24x7 owned pollers that allow customers to be able to monitor from cloud provider regions. This would allow clients with services in AWS to be able to monitor them from the different cloud regions as well as the normal location base that is already offered.
monitor file in a Microsoft cluster
Hi, Currently there is a way to monitor file (change of time stamp, size etc etc), but its only limited to a stand alone server. There is no way I can monitor a file which is serviced by a Microsoft Cluster. If I put a monitor on one node, its going to fail on other node of the cluster as the file will will be accessible from one node of a cluster at any point in time. Need this feature be available in a cluster file server. Thanks, Ash
Bulk Delete Monitors (VMware)
I would like to see the feature/ability to bulk 'delete' VMware VM's based on it's status (UP or DOWN) CURRENT ABILITY Admin > Bulk Action > Delete Monitors > Monitor Type > is > VMware VM This provides a full list of VMware VM's regardless of status, without the ability to filter down on the status (UP/DOWN/or other) I was in position where several hosts were added that made up 200+ VM's. Some of those ESX hosts were deleted, however, the VM's staying but were reporting as DOWN. To manually remove
Site24x7 | Adding IP address in the Email notification subject
Dear Team, I would request to provide a macro to add IP address in the email notification subject Regards, Anand Babu
Critical and Warning time for Cert Expiration
Would be nice to be able to set a critical and warning threshold for Cert checks. We currently are looking at migrating more checks into Site24x7 and about 100 of those are cert checks that we need the dual alerts for. Thanks.
Go addition for APM
Go is starting to ramp up in adoption and it would be nice to see it supported in the APM supported languages.
Capturing mongodb queries in APM insight monitor
Dear Team, We would like to know if the slow query statements executed for mongodb can also be captured in APM insight monitor the same way it is being captured for sql queries. Also it is not being detected as a database as well in the monitor.
Page Load Time By Location - new API method
Hello Support Team, We need in Site24x7 an API method to get 'Page Load Time By Location' for Web Transaction with last polled values.
RUM: need to exclude some ajax polling call
Hi, We are evaluating Site24x7 RUM monitoring for our SinglePageApplication (SPA). However we have on our pages some ajax polling request (30s) that we need to exclude from monitoring otherwise the average page time is totally false. Do you plan to have this feature ? Best, Ch. Potter CEO-Vision S.A.S
Custom Time Period and Unit of Time
Hi team, I would like the option to select Unit of Time if I select a Custom Period for Performance Report. Currently for last 30 days/this month the unit of time has options like RAW, Hour, Day, Week. For last month and this year the options are Hour, Day & Week. But the moment you select Custom, Unit of Time option is removed. I guess the logic behind is if someone select a very long before (example number of years) and select the Time of unit as Hour, then it can kill the request. But when I select
Homepage to display monitor trouble or down reason
Hi, Currently the homepage shows the status of monitor with downs first, then troubles and then rest of the monitors, which is perfect. However, it will be great if there is an additional column (in addition to Monitor name, performance and last polled columns) indicating the reason of the monitor down/trouble status e.g. memory utilisation more than 90% or disk space less than 5 % etc, whatever it may be. To find out why a monitor is in trouble I have to click on that monitor and then figure out,
Share a dashboard with domain name like a staus page
The status pages allows for a rebranded URL under the option "Access your service status on your own domain". It would be nice to be able to do this with a custom dashboard as well.
Dashboard drill down
Hi everyone! I'm creating custom dashboards and I'm interested in being able to create a view by environment, and as I need it, to be able to drill down, is it possible? I have tried to introduce an iframe towards the lower level dashboard, but I have already seen that it is not allowed. However, I have managed to make a business view somewhat similar to what I want, but I cannot drill down to reach the subgroup dashboards, for example. That would be perfect.. Thanks in advance,
Ability to determine if SQL Jobs are running longer than normal
Hello, I'd like to request the ability to be notified if specific daily SQL jobs are running significantly longer than normal (perhaps using an average of the last 4 instances of that job's performance over whichever day of the week it is). In DevOps tab for SQL Server we can see the all-up success/failure ratio...but we cannot drill down any further than this to get more relevant information. In addition, I would like to be able to drill down to the task level within the Job itself, and know which
Unix/Linux Mounting Point Monitoring
We have several Linux/Unix with Mounting points and we want to monitor the presence of the mounting points
Alerts in Site24x7 for Hardware failures on ESX/ESXi servers
It would be very interesting to be able to create alerts when there is a hardware failure on the ESX / ESXi servers. Currently collect the hardware status information but does not trigger any alerts in case of failure. Thank you
Alerting on down pollers via 3rd party integrations
We currently use internal pollers and started using PagerDuty to page us if something goes down and needs to be looked into quickly. As of right now, the only option for alerting if a poller goes down is email; can we get other methods added for alerting endpoints as the other monitors do? We had one of our pollers die a few days ago and nobody noticed because we got emailed. We did get a PagerDuty alert but because it does not match the rules we use for actual monitors it did not get converted into
Consolidated view of Resource Check Profile for monitor group and associated Resource Check Profile server monitors
Hi, Currently the Resource Check Profile is only visible when selecting an individual server, but it would be really valuable if I could add the view of the resource check profile to a monitor group, so I can immediately view the status of all resource check profiles associated with servers in the server monitor group. My use case is for a URL check on each server to ensure the service is available, but could extend to port check and directory check. Having this view in the monitor group would be
Threshold and Availability - display number of monitors using it
It will be good to display the number of monitors being by a Threshold and Availability profile, the way you display the number of monitors against an on-site poller. In admin --> Configuration Profiles --> Threshold and Availability Regards, Ash
S.M.A.R.T. Drive Status Monitoring
Add monitoring of S.M.A.R.T. drive status. There was a response to a community post about creating our own plugin for this, but would prefer if this feature was built into the server-site agent. Thanks, Max
Alert escalation - need option for alert medium to notify
Hi, I am not sure if the following is possible using the current product. I don't think it is. It will be good to have these features. 1. Currently when I create a notification profile there is no way I can define in that profile as how I am going to notify the user,/recipient e.g. via email or SMS or both etc for certain monitors. Its all or nothing at this moment. It will be good to have an option for alert medium. 2. There is no way to escalate at multiple levels for an incident. For example for
Groups as dependencies in Monitoring dependencies
Example: I´ve a group for the switches as well as a group for the WiFi APs. I would then connect the dependency of the AP group to the switches so that if the switches group goes down, no alarm mails for the APs would be sent. Because I basically don´t care which AP is connected to which switch in terms of monitoring. When a switch or a whole group of switches is down, I´ll first take care of those. Only after the switches are up again I will look after everything else whether being up again or not
Please provide option to test a monitor before putting it live
When I am adding a new monitor e.g. for a website, there no option to test my checks whether it passes or fails before put into the production mode. To avoid false alerts, it will be good to have an option to validate the current status of a monitor before putting it in active condition. There is no point of adding a monitor if it fails immediately after adding. I rather correct the condition first and then add the monitor. Specifically this will be useful when I am checking rest endpoints or websites
Group Monitor Navigation Suggestion
I think it would improve navigation if when viewing Monitor Groups you could drill down to associated monitors without exiting the group monitor view. A pull down for the group members would also improve navigation allowing for the exploration of the different monitors that are members of the group without having to use the browser back functions or using other methods like clicking on "Inventory" then the group name to get back to the group. Even without the pulldown it would aid navigation to be
mongodb monitoring
A monitor for mongo db that we can use to check the status and load of the db. Also maybe queries that are slow.
RegEx in AppLogs search
I would like to be able to use RegEx in my AppLogs searches. For example, I need to create an alert based on the occurrence of "[error]" in my logs, but AppLogs search throws out the special characters and returns all instances of "error". Another example is case-sensitive searching. RegEx would allow us to use this (or not) whenever we want. I could search for "FooBar" and exclude "foobar", etc. There are many, many powerful use cases for RegEx that would really expand the AppLog searching capabilities,
Add historical "incidents"
It'd be great if we could add, retrospectively, "incidents" in Signals. i.e Add historical incidents after the event. We can only add them with the date/time of "now". There are times when we don't update an incident immediately (especially if it was a 3rd party component), and Signals shows as a disruption - but I can't go and put an explanation once the dust has settled.
Custom poll time for secondary locations
Hi It would be nice to have customizable poll time for secondary locations in monitors instead of standard 30min. Regards Pawel
Implement a configurable Data limit for any server (or group of servers) for AppLogs data intake
In order to avoid possibly incurring extra charges, please implement a configurable data limit (with alerts) that any one server or group of servers can intake for AppLogs. This will prevent sudden log explosions from incurring extra charges (or being unexpectedly cut off) when they get pulled into AppLogs. Thank you.
Customized information within AppLogs alerts
I'm just writing to suggest a feature improvement. I think it would be nice to customize Alerts generated by AppLogs. For example, it would be nice to be able to include the log line(s) that caused the alert. I'm sure a feature like this could be used to include many other useful bits of information as well. Thank you.
Add a captured screenshot from last web page test as an image attachement to slack
If a website is down a captured screenshot from user point of view is attached to an e-mail. We using slack as an third party integration in site24x7. It would be very helpful if the slack message includes also the last captured screenshot as an attachment.
Resource Check Profile trouble or down alerts
Is would be nice if it's possible to change the notification type from a trouble to a down with the Resource Check Profile. At the moment the Resource Check Profile only generates trouble alerts. We like to generate a down alert for it so we can receive a Phone call if a Resource Profile Check failed.
Detailed Monitors Report
we are looking for a report and all the monitors, plugins, check and services/processes monitors applied to a server or server group
Improve RUM: Add caching information
I hope you will consider adding caching details to RUM reporting. Share of cacheable and non-cacheable resources Cached vs uncached resources Resource download size? How else would I know how performance is? Timing alone is not enough, is it? Improved resources reporting, enabling exploration of requests and headers Use filtering/segments such as device type. There's a Device Type report, but it's very basic Page groups and filtering Recordings, maybe? Snapshots are near useless Javascript warnings?
Global Configuration Profiles for MSP's
When we deploy a new customer in our MSP account, we use a script that calls the API and creates a set of Default Threshold Profiles. That works very well. The fun begins however, when you guys release new metrics or settings. Then we need to go into each account to configure the (default) threshold profiles. It would be a great help if we could create profiles on MSP level and use those on customer level, so we can centrally manage our default profiles.
Server Monitor Down Report
Would be great to have a Server Monitor Down Report and Server Monitor Disable Report
Display by the group name
Hi, I'd like in public statuspage to have an option to display server/service: For example, It's currently displayed like this: Webhost 1 -> Status Webhost 2 -> Status Cloudserver 1 -> Status Cloudserver 2 -> Status DNS 1 -> Status DNS 2 -> Status My suggestion is to have an option that can also display by the group name. Example: Webhosts -> Status Cloudservers -> Status DNS servers -> Status In the links below you have an example of what I'm suggesting: Https://status.rackspace.com/ Https://statusblog.locaweb.com/
REST API Monitor with parsed variables that can be shown on graph
Hi Current REST API monitor response parsing can be only checked for the expression assertions. So the parsed value could be checked for assertion and in case of failure - it could be printed to log with assertion warning. We propose to add a variable(s) of the parsed value(s) and to give an ability to show it on the graph of the REST API monitor. REST API is the worldwide conventional way for corresponding functionality. This is very important feature that helps to show customer performance monitoring
SMS vs Email alerts
It would be nice if we could choose (at the server/host level) whether we want alert notifications to be email, email/sms, sms, etc, instead of having it set with Notification Groups.
Please also display the milestones in the Site24x7 App as a list overview.
We tracking our changes with the milestones feature. Would be very helpful if we can view all milestones in the native App as well.
