How to configure a device to send SNMP traps?

Site24x7 On-Premise Poller listens to traps from network devices via port UDP 162.
Please follow the below steps to configure your device to send SNMP traps to Site24x7 On-Premise Poller. This can be done in your device either by using a GUI or CLI.
  1. Ensure that SNMP is enabled and then enable traps in your network device.
  2. Set the trap destination host address as the IP address or the host name of the respective On-Premise Poller.
  3. Set the trap destination port to be 162.
  4. Specify Community. You can specify any value for Community as Site24x7 On-Premise Poller doesn't validate traps.
  5. Save the configuration.
Now your network device should start sending traps to Site24x7 On-Premise Poller. You can also test if your On-Premise Poller is receiving these traps.
