Site24x7's availability and SLA commitment
As a monitoring platform, availability is the foundation of Site24x7. Customers rely on us to monitor the health and availability of their critical infrastructure, so ensuring the continuous availability of our own service is equally important.
Key measures include:
- Reliable infrastructure: Redundancy across compute, networking, storage, and internet service providers (ISPs) helps minimize service disruptions.
- Data replication: Monitoring data is continuously replicated from the primary data center to a secondary data center to ensure business continuity. Learn more about our data centers.
- Read-only (RO) access: If the primary data center becomes unavailable, an RO version of the Site24x7 application (ro.site24x7.com) is served from the secondary data center. This allows customers to continue viewing monitoring data and reports while write operations remain unavailable.
The 99.9% monthly uptime guarantee applies to the overall availability of the Site24x7 service. The following categories of downtime are excluded from the SLA calculation:
- Planned maintenance: Customers are notified at least 48 hours in advance of scheduled maintenance activities.
- Events beyond Site24x7's control: This includes ISP failures, natural disasters, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, and other external events outside our operational control.
- Customer-managed dependencies: This includes downtime caused by a customer's own infrastructure, software, hardware, or network configuration.
Uptime calculation process
Monthly uptime is calculated by subtracting the total downtime from the total number of minutes in a calendar month and expressing the result as a percentage.
Formula: Uptime (%) = (Total minutes in the month − Downtime minutes) ÷ [(Total minutes in the month) × 100]A 99.9% monthly uptime commitment allows for a maximum downtime of approximately 43.8 minutes per month.

Site24x7 publishes real-time and historical availability data for every supported data center through dedicated status pages. You can select your hosting region to verify the uptime relevant to your environment.
Each status page provides:
- The current operational status of all components or services
- Historical status information
- Incident timelines and summary
- Scheduled maintenance history
- Resolution updates
Rather than publishing a static availability figure that can become outdated, Site24x7 provides live, region-specific status pages that accurately reflect the current and historical performance of each data center.
