How to set up alerts for network device data collection issues
When your network monitoring interfaces are not collecting data due to issues in the Network Module, you'll want to be alerted. To set up alerts, you need to add or edit the threshold and availability profile of the On-Premise Poller, which is used to monitor your network devices.

How to check if there are data collection issues in the Network Module
- Log in to your Site24x7 account.
- Navigate to Admin > On-Premise Poller.
- Click the name of the On-Premise Poller that is used to monitor your network devices.
- Navigate to the Network Module tab.
- Check if there is an entry under Network Devices with Data Collection Issues for the required device.

Click View Details to get details about the issue.
This option is available only for interface errors.
How to create a threshold alert for data collection issues
- Navigate to Admin > On-Premise Poller.
- Click the name of the On-Premise Poller, which is used to monitor your network devices.
- Navigate to the Inventory tab and click the pencil icon
beside Threshold and Availability Profile. Alternatively, navigate to Admin > Configuration Profiles > Threshold and Availability and click the profile for the On-Premise Poller monitor type. Add a threshold profile if needed.
- In the pop-up that appears, look for the options Alert if the network module is down and Alert if there is an issue with data collection of network devices. Toggle to Yes and provide values for Poll Strategy, Poll Value, and Notify As.
- Click Save.
