Are the recorded system logs editable?
Hello, I am interested in the logs analysis feature. I find the system in which you can make sql type queries and easily find information in the logs very interesting. There is a question that I can't find an answer to. If the logs are recorded in real time but a hacker penetrates a server, modifies the logs to hide his traces, will the logs recorded in site24x7 be modified too? Thanks and have a nice day

I'm getting a DNS configuration error
Hello. I'm getting a DNS configuration error, "It is a lookup type that is not available." how does this affect the web site? The engineer in charge does not investigate and I am in trouble. I have tried benchmarking (Apache Bench). Request per second processing is extremely slow (60req/sec). Is it related to DNS settings? Thanks for your help.
Associate VMs with Host Servers Feature Request
It'd be great to have a feature where each virtual server shows the associated host server it belongs to. Running a Powershell script such as, Get-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\Software\Microsoft\Virtual Machine\Guest\Parameters" -Name "HostName" can achieve those results but it would be very convenient to have that information in the summary page or another tab on each server.

DNS monitoring of a-record
Hi, Is your tool able to check that a specific bare domain only contain one a-record and not multiple, and that the a-record returns a specific IP? One of our clients DNS provider continue to have some issues and we want to monitor this in an automated way. One of the issues is that the bare domain some times has multiple a-records where only one of them is valid. We want to monitor that it only contain one a-record and which IP it contains. we're receiving many times ( down alerts ) for our sites. when were browsing the sites they're up and accessible without issues. nginx Logs sourced from Container Logs
Hi, We use an nginx container as the API gateway to our infrastructure. We currently parse the Docker container logs as described www.site24x7.com/help/log-management/docker-container-logs.html. How do we then parse these log outputs to extract the nginx access logs? e.g., instead of pointing at /var/log/nginx/access.log we want to point out the container logs for a given container.
How to trigger automation based on multiple conditions?
I set up a server monitor to trigger IT Automation (server reboot via an external API) when it reaches 90% CPU usage 5 times. This worked OK until today when a server locked up so quickly it never got to 5 tries and site24x7 lost communication with my server monitor. I don't want to lower the threshold (e.g. 2 times), because this could cause false alarms. If set too low, the server might be rebooted just because we had a temporary load spike. I also don't want to trigger on a simple "lost communication

We recently began using a product that redirects an unauthenticated user from the target URL to a login page and then back to the website. My uptime monitor has basically been monitoring the availablilty of this login page. Is there a way to pass login credentials to the login page with the uptime monitors? I was not able to see anything in the setup page.
Unable to succesfully add GCP monitor. No discovery happens (or hardly any)
I'm trying to add a GCP monitor, but it is 'discovering' for hours. ("Your GCP resources are being discovered, this may take a while." keeps being displayed). In 2nd browser window I can see that it has disovered a Kubernetes cluster, but that's all. No VM Instances/disks/storage/etc. And the only information it gathered from the GKE cluster is the configuration details. All other information (CPU usage/disk etc is empty). I am wondering does site24x7 enable us to get web page speed browser's log report (csv file) through API service? Now, I am able to use site24x7 API to get web page speed browser json file. Custom Log Format
Hey guys, Trying to format a custom log source from file. It is failed to get picked up by the sample logs, and fails due to inability to find the date. Adding snmp monitoring for Dell Equalogic PS 4100
Hi, I've added a Dell Equalogic PS4100 to my list of monitored devices. It has been setup as a network snmp monitored device via a Poller. It finds basic snmp info such as sysuptime, network interfaces and ip routing discards, but I'd like to monitor disk usage as well. However none of the performance monitors that I added, get shown in the performance counters screen. I'd like to avoid having to create custom performance counters, since I can see they're avaible from the counters overview (see attached

WMI issues on Windows Servers
Other than my organization (we do have a Site24x7 team looking at the problem) is anyone else who's using Site24x7 to monitor their servers experiencing WMI issues on every server? Not just physical servers, but VMs as well. We do have HP servers in place and we're seeing errors such as: Windows Management Instrumentation has stopped WMIPRVSE.EXE because a quota reached a warning value. Blank page on login?
Is anyone else having trouble when logging into the main page? I wanted to try out this service, but every time I go to the login page and it redirects to "https://www.site24x7.com/login/success.jsp", I just get a blank page. It happens every time on every browser. What's causing it?

How to be alerted via different medium
Hi, I'd like to know if I can be alerted via different medium in case of false alarm. i.e. for the 1st error, I'd like to be notified via email, and if it failed in the 2nd test (or not back up in 10 minutes), I'd like to be notified via SMS. New esxi host auto detected but inventory not updating
I have added a new esxi host which site 24x7 detected automatically and shows as 100% available. However none of the details are populated, every field says no data available (CPU, Memory, Disk usage, Associated VMs, Associated Datastores, Network and ESX Details are all empty). Furthermore all the VMs running on that host show as normal in site 24x7 but the "associated esxi host" field shows the IP address of the host rather than the host name and has a not monitored link beneath the IP address.
Monitoring Host's Syslog from Docker Agent
Hi, we're using the Docker Site24x7 agent to monitor our hosts. Host stats, and Docker containers all monitor as expected, but I can't make pick up the host log files. It currently reports "The last we received logs for this log type was Apr 7, 08:16:13:393 (1 Hrs 44 Mins ago)." I followed the pattern of mapping /var/log -> /host/var/log I also tried adding /host/var/log/* to the Syslog Log type I've not managed to find any documentation regarding this, apart from www.site24x7.com/help/log-management/sys-logs.html

Linux delay in each CPU poll
Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to set a delay when the information is about the CPU is sent back from the server. A value is taken every minute but I have scheduled tasks at the same time and I would like the values to be taken after 30 seconds, the time the scheduled tasks are finished. Exclude disk partitions from monitoring
Is it possible to exclude certain disk partitions from threshold monitoring? On AWS EC2 instances I have multiple disks/partitions and two of those partitions e.g. /snap/core/5328 are always at 100% full. Becaues of this, they make my site show as being in "Trouble". I would like to be able to exclude partitions automatically from monitoring by including something in the threshold profile to ignore any partition that starts with /snap (e.g. /snap/*). Server agent delaying apache
Hi all I've had an issue with Apache taking a long time to restart, up to 15mins. Or in a few cases does not start at all. After some digging around, I found that when I'd restarted services I noticed "136.143.189.136:443 CLOSE_WAIT 1821/Site24x7Agent" in the tcp stack. And if I killed this process Apache started immediately. Has anyone come across this issue before, and if so, what was the solution? Thanks in advance.

Bulk actions/rules on EC2 monitors
Hi, I try to modify our existing EC2-monitors (i want to change user alert groups), with a bulk action, but the modification doesn't seem to happen. I also tried the same with creating a rule, and replace the user alert groups that way, but also that fails. For our server monitors this works both ways, but on our windows-machine EC2 monitors nothing changes with a bulk action or rule. Any idea what could cause this? Could something be blocked on windows-level? What's the mechanism behind the bulk

Monitor consumers in each queue in RabbitMQ
I want site24x7 to alert me whenever there is no consumer in a queue. We have many queue in RabbitMQ and we want that each queue should have at least 1 consumer. If at any point of time the consumer becomes 0 in any of the queue then we should receive an alert. Can this be done using site24x7? Is there any script using which we can achieve this?
Automate maintenance mode
We stop multiple AWS Ec2 instance multiple times in a day so I am looking for a way to automate maintenance mode. I want that as soon as any EC2 instance is stopped, it should be placed on to maintenance mode and as soon as it is started, the maintenance mode should turn off itself.
