[New features] Network Health Dashboard and additional threshold configuration conditions
Added conditions for configuring thresholds Threshold configuration is no longer restricted to conditions that exceed a certain value. For instance, you can now receive alerts when your printer ink goes below a preset value. Threshold alerts for performance counters and interface-level attributes can now be configured using one of the following conditions: <, <= , >, or >=. AWS SNS monitor
AWS SNS Topic threshold values operate "one-way" only. For example the "..is in Trouble" status is triggered in five minute polling interval just ok. But the "..is operating normally" status is never triggered back again! There are no buttons, tick boxes, drop down menus etc. in Site24x7 user interface to manage this? It seems to be only possible to trigger the alerts "one-way" with AWS SNS monitoring? Reason I ask this, because we do have Lambda DLQ feature implemented with AWS SNS, this means that
OAuth Client Credentials grant
Why the Client Credentials Grant in OAuth provider does not refresh the token automatically. With this grant type, the http response message includes the token and its expiration time. The token can be refreshed automatically before it's expiration time by calling the provider again with same client id, client secret etc. information provided already in the "registration" phase. Why the OAuth functionality calculate the expiration time, and renew the token automatically when using "Client credentials"

Tip #4 : Detect .NET application performance issues using app pool visibility
Identify process-level performance issues in your .NET application by monitoring your IIS app pool. Viewing metrics including network usage (bytes in/bytes out), cache performance, processor utilization, and memory consumption helps you get a quick overview of any abnormalities in your application. Figure 1: Application details Figure 2: App pool details By integrating the APM Insight .NET agent with the IIS server monitor, you can view metrics specific to your app pool. Or the other way around,
Alert only when two (ore more) Threshold are on Warning or Critical on same monitor
it could be great to have a new feature : Today when one Threshold is reached a trouble is generated, sometime it's interresting to get only alert in cas of Two Threshold are reached exemple SQL: when "Page Writes exceeds 90 per second" is's not not enought to determine is there is a real issue, you need to correlate with pages fault per seconds on Disk Emmanuel
URL Check (local) delay 'Trouble' until multiple failures ?
We are using local URL checks (127.0.0.1/blah) to monitor individual web/appservers, but we don't want alerts to be triggered at the very first time this occurs. Can we delay such alert until a number consecutive of failures have occured ? I've tried setting the 'downtime notification delay' on the Server monitor to 'notify after 3 consecutive failures' , but this does not have any effect on the URL check monitoring. Am I missing something here, or does this functionality not yet exist ?
Tip #3 : Check if product updates are causing performance problems in your application
Not all product enhancements have a positive effect on application performance. In fact, some enhancements only present their negative side effects after a long while. What you need is something to assess the impact of enhancements over a period of time. This is where Milestone Marker comes in handy. With Milestone Marker, you can record every update you make and analyze each one over time. These markers appear in key metrics like Response Time and Throughput graphs. Note: Milestone Marker is available
Start monitoring your AWS Network Load Balancer nodes with Site24x7 now!
"Monitor and understand a multi-point failure in the AWS cloud" is a goal that we take seriously here at Site24x7. Our continued efforts in providing more out-of-the-box integrations for critical native AWS services keeps us moving towards this goal. Today, we're taking another step by officially introducing monitoring support for Amazon's latest layer-4 network load balancer. We're also bundling in a couple of other notable enhancements along with this release, read along to find out more. Does
Customize iOS app notification sound
Could you make it possible to customize the notification sound in the Site24x7 iOS app? In all versions of iOS, third party app developers (e.g. Zoho) must allow their app's notification sounds to be configured as this function is not available in the iOS operating system itself. As it is, the Site24x7 iOS app, the app can only use the default notification sound which makes it hard to identify a Site24x7 notification because it sounds like many other notifications. An example of an iOS app which
How to create alert for websites down over 1 hr
hi everyone Even though I have all our sites monitored, Id like to have an extra level of checks that alerts me if a website has been down for more than 1 hr. How can I create such an alert? modify existing thresholds or set this for every single website? thanks Paul
Tip #2 : Assess if your application performance is impacted by external services
Application running slow? See how external services are contributing to your application's total response time with the help of the app server component graph. As shown below, this graph tells you what percentage of your application's response time is caused by each external service. You can also track your own components with the help of custom instrumentation. So, the next time your application lags, have a look at the component graph before you blame your code.
Exception handling and monitoring in ASP.NET
Introduction Exception handling is a crucial mechanism of application development. When exceptions occur frequently, things like increased CPU time consumption, memory leakage, and application slowness have a higher chance of happening. In case of uncaught
REQUEST: Private Status Page
It would be great to be able to set viewing permissions on a status page. For example, we'd like to set up a custom status page for our QA team to monitor integration services. This information isn't useful for the public and would preferably only be visible to our internal team. Permissions for viewing could be set via Users or User Roles.
Trying to trigger maintenance via API
I have a set of Linux servers that run in AEDT timezone, but my Site24*7 account is in UTC timezone. These servers reboot for maintenance once a week via a cron job, just before running the cronjob I would want to schedule a maintenance by making an API call, but timezone is causing an issue. So if the server sends an API call at just before the cronjob, site 24*7 will take it as UTC time without converting. Is there a work around that you would suggest?

Current Month graphs in Dashboards...
Is there a way to fix the current month availability widget so it shows the data starting from the left side being day 1 and then filling toward the right as the month progresses? The way it currently is, makes it seem as if data is missing for the first part of the month if you only glance at it.
REST API Transaction Monitoring
We're building a new monitor type for Site24x7 - one designed for modern web and mobile applications that rely heavily on REST API calls to the function. We'd like to gather feedback from our users, so please post your suggestions below. Modern web applications consist of web pages that use a large number REST API calls to retrieve data, perform actions, etc. Site24x7's REST API Transaction Monitor will allow you to perform synthetic monitoring of web application workflows without the overhead of

Nonetheless, we will still monitor things very closely and keep you posted about any issues. We will update this post once the data center maintenance is complete. Meanwhile, in case
[Service Update] Scheduled Maintenance of our US Data Center (17th December 2017 to 31st December 2017)
Dear Customers, Back in September 2017, we'd announced our annual infrastructure maintenance of our US Data Centers. Due to some unavoidable reasons, we had to postpone the scheduled maintenance then. This maintenance activity of our US Data Centres is now scheduled from 17th December 2017 to 31st December 2017. During the maintenance period, Site24x7 service will continue to be operational and we do not anticipate any major interruptions in using our service. We'll update this post once the Data
Tip #1 : How to get the most out of APM Insight Performance Graphs
We all use the Performance Graphs in APM Insight to assess our application's status using key metrics including Apdex Score, Response Time and Throughput. But did you know that every data point in the graph is clickable? Yes, and furthermore, it helps you to drill down for further analysis. These graphs are correlated with each other and a drop or increase in the graphs always communicate us the status of the application. Here's how you can find the needle in your haystack - Let's inspect the highest
AWS re:Invent 2017: A quick recap!
What an incredible event we've had this year, from the 3-day non-stop action at our booth during the Expo hours, the wonderful keynote by Andy Jassy, the numerous breakout sessions on various topics to all the fun and games at the entire event, we had it all, and it was simply AMAZING! We're sure you had made great connections and had learned things that you can use in your business immediately. We'd like to thank each and everyone who'd taken time out from their schedule to stop by at our booth
Monitoring SQL server
Due to the need to use specific SQL permissions, we are thinking about writing some SQL agent jobs that run a series of queries, compile that info and directly output the data in json format to a file. Is there a method for that json file to be directly ingested in to site 24x7? If not, would something as basic as writing a powershell script that reads the json file and spits it back out work?
Alert on group
I'd like the ability to alert off of a group's status. You are able to set "Monitor count threshold to decide the monitor group's status" but you can't then alert off of this. Our use case is that we group monitors by datacenter or zone and we'd like to create an escalated incident (via pagerduty) when the group hits a specific threshold. This allows us to page an "all hands on deck" type scenario.
Historical Access/Reports for APM Data - eg Average Response Times
Hi, It would be nice to be able to see an historical view of the apm data such as average response times, currently you can compare individual days but it would be nice to see a chart over a month for instance. The data is obviously available so this shouldn't be a major change. It would also be desirable to be able to export the data. Thanks, J
Maven repository for apminsight api jar
Hi, Is there a maven repository available for the apminsight-javaagent-api.jar file? I tried using the local repo method I found on https://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/local-maven-dependencies, but it isn't working with our multi-module project. Alternatively, would using my own classes for @ApmTracker annotations work? Thanks, Vaughn
Monitor OVH's vCenter
We want to monitor our vCenter that is hosted at OVH. Copy of the official support response bellow: Dear Jean, Thank you for your patience. As per the update from our development team, monitoring vCenter hosted by OVH is currently not supported in Site24x7. We have this feature in our roadmap and our team will take this for development based on priority. We will keep you updated on further development in this regard. We recommend you to post your request in Site24x7 community forum. www.site24x7.com/community/filter/feature-requests

Hello It's possible log Desktop App's Exceptions and Performance with an APM Agent?. I have reading the documentation and don't found anything that could help with that requirement. Thank you Matias
On Agent Restart Pagerduty is Notified Immediately - This should not happen
Problem: When I reload the agent on a linux machine, it IMMEDIATELY triggers a pagerduty notification. Ideally what I want is for it to wait - pause before escalating. It ends up triggering a lot of false alarms and annoys our DevOps team. Is there a way to change the priority or the immediacy of the pagerduty alert when it loses contact with the plugin/agent.
What MPM modes are supported in Apache?
We noticed that when we changed the MPM module setting in apache from worker to either prefork or event the PHP app was down according to Site24x7. It looks like the Site24x7 PHP agent only supports the worker module. Is there a reason why only worker module is supported? If the other modules are supposed to work, what setting can I change in the portal or the conf file to make other MPM modules work?

SIte24x7 : cannot get all performances data with REST API
Hello Community, I have the following problem. I have a Web Page Analyzer monitor running. I need to extract performance data via the REST API, particularly the Page Load Time. So, I use the following cURL call: curl "https://www.site24x7.com/api/reports/performance/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx?period=3" -H 'Authorization: Zoho-authtoken yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy' -k The result is: I have data related to response time but nothing related to other counters like "Page Load Time" (except in "Legends"). Is this normal
Status Page Announcements
Looking through the API I see that we can create and update status pages, but I do not see anything that would allow to me make calls to add announcements. We are trying add announcements and updates to status pages withought having someone manually do it. Any suggestions? Connor
Load page time using RBM
Hi, We are evaluating your platform and using the RBM feature with monitors all over the world hitting our test environments. The metrics we get from your tool are completely different from the real life user experience. For example - the Europe monitor shows 10s average page load time in the monitor, but real user experience of clients all over Europe, in the exact same timeframe, gives an average of 3-4 seconds per page. Can you shed some light exactly how you perform on your servers the RBM? Specifically,
