Tip #12: Detect slowness in external components using Application Dependency Maps
Failure in one or more of your external components, such as your database, Memcache, or HTTP connections, can slow down your application's performance. With Application Dependency Maps, you can easily identify failed components and their metrics like average response time, failed request, total request, and throughput. Mapping all transactions with their respective components eliminates the need for searching. View the transactions involved in calling an external component by clicking the View Components

Debugging SSL Connection Errors for On-Premise Poller
I'm trying to use an On-Premise poller to check an internal webpage that uses SSL, but I get this message: "SSL Connection Error" I'm able to view this page just fine in all of my browsers. The SSL certificate is a chained one from Rapid-SSL, so it's not a self-signed certificate.
Tags: A smarter way to organize and manage monitors
Being organized is a critical aspect of IT infrastructure monitoring and management. Our Monitor Groups and Subgroups feature gave you the flexibility to group resources by a business application. With our recent launch of tags in Site24x7, you'll now be able to organize your resources by technology and other segments. So let's dive in and learn a bit more about tags, its features, and some basic tagging strategies. Tags, in detail Tags are unique labels that allow you to assign custom metadata to
You can now monitor your hosted message queues in Amazon Web Services with Site24x7
Good day folks, We're excited to add another important addition to our growing list of supported AWS integrations: Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS) - a fully managed message queue service on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. You can now collect the full range of performance metrics and inventory data for both your standard and FIFO queues; visualize usage using custom and system dashboards; configure customized thresholds; get alerted via integrated notification channels; and get complete
AWS Lambda monitoring - How to optimize function execution time and performance
Function as a service (FaaS) products like AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, and Google Cloud Functions have instigated a paradigm shift in the way Ops teams provision and manage their organization's infrastructure. With everyday administrative tasks like provisioning, patching, maintaining compliance, and configuring operating systems all being abstracted away, your Ops team only has one task to work on - writing world-class code. But going serverless has its share of challenges, especially when it comes
Java vert.x framework support

Define separate recipients for trouble and down alert
Can we have an option to configure separate recipients for different monitor status?
Alert on individual step performance in a transaction
Please include a way to alert if a particular step within a transaction test is not performing. Currently, it is only possible to monitor the entire transaction as a whole.
Group support for MSP's
Right now, when we need to provide MSP level access to one of our engineers, we need to add him manually to all existing MSP Customer accounts. This is very tedious. We would like to be able to have group support for MSP's, where we can create groups, add MSP users to those groups, and provide access to MSP accounts based on those groups.
Trouble Email Alerts - Should Display the Graph data based on the location concern
Because it's useless to see the graph from the Primary location, if its not the concern or the one has an alert.
Tip #11: Exclude insignificant transactions from monitoring
Few transactions or extensions can be excluded from your application monitoring process. For instance, webpages with static content (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) can be safely excluded from your monitoring process. Similarly, multimedia files such as images and videos (JPG, PNG, GIF) need not be monitored. You can exclude those kinds of URLs from monitoring by providing their file extensions in APM Insight. That way, you can focus on monitoring crucial areas of your application instead.
assign alert group to monitor group
Hello, I have some questions about alerting. If i undestand well. There is only one way how to add monitor/server to alert group. Correct me if is it not right. 1. you have to create alert group 2. you have to assign server to the alert group. What i need is assing monitor group to alert group. Is it possible? From my point of view it is not possible. There is no such a option in monitor group setting. Another thing, How can i easily recognize which monitors are under alert group? Only option ive
Custom alerts for services.
Hi, Would it be possible to get alerts for services on server monitors to be sent to specific groups? We would have many services on a server that would be managed by different groups. Regards, Alan.
How to determine the version of the current server agent that is available and find release notes?
Without downloading the server agent and installing it on a computer to see what version appears in the monitor list in the web application, how would a person best determine the version of the current server agent that is available to be downloaded/installed from the site24x7. Would it be possible for you list the version number on the page "Add Server > Windows Server Monitor"? -- the page where the Device Key is shown and the agent is downloaded. Also, I cannot find release notes for each version
[New feature] Start monitoring your tabular performance counters with Network Monitoring
Site24x7 is happy to announce that our Network Monitoring just got better. We are all set to monitor SNMP tabular performance counters, so take a look at some use cases to understand tabular performance counters better. We've added a new tab specifically for tabular performance counters, where you can view all the tabular OIDs listed in tables. With this, you can get a unified view for all the tabular OIDs, for example, .1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.1.2.4.4.3.1.12 (Interface Collisions) and .1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.1.2.4.4.3.1.6

How to export Anomoly report for sites
Hi Team, I was looking to export websites anomaly report from group - is there any possible from portal.
APM Web Services Report
Hi, I'm planning to use APM for my Oracle Service Bus (OSB) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) domains. I also want to create performance reports of web services periodically for example daily, weekly or monthly. Now I'm able to see details on Web Transaction section, but I can't create a report of them. How can I do it? Thanks
Web Issued date
I tried to be my Web mon. and when I started to check my Web status my work Web Issued date is January 2018 and the exparied date Apr 2018. iPhone stopped notifying us on alerts
It appears over the last month or so. A few of us on iPhones in the office have stopped recieving alerts/notifications. We can open the ap on the phone and see the alert but it is not notifying us. Confirmed that all setting are turned on to get notifications. Site24x7 version 3.6.3
Export Apdex Counters via API Rest
We need to export the amount of tolerant, frustrated, and satisfying requisitions a particular application had during the month. These values will be imported into the BI tool, which will be used in internal metrics.
Tip #10: Resolve JS errors by analyzing the stack trace and browser version
JavaScript errors are browser-specific; what works properly for one browser may cause an error in another. With Site24x7 real user monitoring (RUM), you can identify JavaScript errors and view metrics such as browser version, count, device type, and stack trace. Using these details, you can debug errors with ease. The best way to check if resolved errors get repeated is by inspecting the date and time of the last occurrence. Just select JavaScript Errors in the RUM dashboard to take a look. Happy
Alert for communication decline of APM Insight
We would like to be able alerts for when the APM Insight agent stops communicating (when down).
Stop Autodiscovery and Auto adding checks
I get the reasoning behind auto-discovery and I like the feature, what is not cool is auto adding things to our account.. For example, we wanted to check out the VmWare check but it kept adding tons of other checks and sending out tons of false alerts, not to mention it uses up checks that customers may need or just do not have. This is not a good way to go about doing things. What should be done instead is continue doing autodiscovery but pop-up a window that asks customers if they want to add the
Bulk removing things from checks
Currently, we can bulk add things to check like IT Automation, would be nice to be able to bulk remove these from checks where they are already set up.
Deep discovery customization
Hi! Can you add setting up Deep Discovery at a monitoring group level, rather than just at account level? Recently, I deleted some duplicate DNS monitors to optimize costs, and they were re-discovered. Thanks Satish Mantha, HighRadius Technologies
DNS resolving IP logger
Hi, I want to ask for monitor that does the following: I configure an address, for instance, test.test.com I want the monitor, for every poll, to resolve the IP of this address from the default DNS of the locations I choose (from the list of location monitors) and log it so I can view it later (Example: a log of resolving IP every 5 minutes from Tokyo, London, and Paris). logs should be something like this: [Time] - Resolving IP of test.test.com. From: [Location1] is [IP1] [Location2] is [IP2] Thanks
Site24x7 Zapier Integration
Dear All, is it possible to extend your Zapier support for following filter? "New Alert" and "Status of Montior" is "down" for "1 hour" then..... There are only 3 triggers in the meantime "New alert", "New Contact", "New Monitor". Without any filter for these triggers Zapier integration is uesless for us, because we get also alerts for "in trouble","up again". We are using Zapier for our KANBAN board integration. Thank you!
Bulk changes to alert groups
We need a view where I click on a group and see all of the monitors that group is connected to. I need to be able to move alerts around as our company changes.
Device wise performance of web-pages
Hi team, Just a suggestion... It would be good to have device wise performance monitoring tool in Site24x7. For example, if we want to test the performance of a web page in iPhone-5, I should be able to do it in Site24x7 which I think is not currently available. Thanks team
AWS Personal Health Dashboard
Hi guys, I don't know whether it would be feasible, but it would be great if site24x7 could send an alert if there are any new alerts in the AWS Personal Health Dashboard https://docs.aws.amazon.com/health/latest/ug/getting-started-phd.html. These could be tied to the Amazon Web Services monitor. This would be particularly helpful for MSP's. Thanks, Tom
Feature Request: Modify Maintenance Window limits/functionality
We just found at that you can only have a maximum of 500 maintenance periods scheduled (support can increase this for you.) Maintenance windows don't auto delete so at some point, if you use maintenance windows at all, you would run into the limit. In addition, if you delete prior maintenance it will modify reports and show that maintenance never occurred. Feature Request: 1) Remove the limit entirely or 2) Auto-delete old monitors (after x time period) but leave the metrics in the reports.
Logarithmic Scales
Please provide logarithmic scales on graphs/charts to better display data with outlier values that skew the Y-axis scale and "crush" normal samples into a small vertical space. Please see picture for example, the same data is displayed in both graphs.
Feature Requests : Collect the complete performance metrics in 1min
Hello , Now the collect the complete performance metrics is every 5 min , it would be great if you can make it 1 min like other options because some I have some servers have some scripts that take less than 3 min but consume a lot of Memory so I want to monitor their ram consume . Thank you very much .
API changes?
Dear, We have a setup script for new customers, using the API to configure an account. It looks like your API has changed, as creating a threshold profile for SERVER does not work anymore. I had a look at the docs, and also did a GET to see what the JSON should look like, but I can't see to find the problem. The documentation also is not up to date with the actual API results. Can you tell me what is wrong with this payload: -d '{"profile_name": "Default Threshold - SERVER", -d '{"profile_name":
RDP services metrics
Hi, How can we monitor the metrics like Latency in the connections or users sessions? sessions- bottlenecks Latency in user connections bandwidth bottlenecks memory / CPU bottle necks etc...
Automation for the AWS platform - gain monitoring insight and automatically execute actions
As you probably know, Site24x7's AWS monitoring capabilities provide complete visibility into resource utilization and performance for key compute resources, storage, and database services powering your application in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud. From here on out, you'll have the power to not only identify issues that might affect application performance, but also automatically invoke operational tasks across multiple AWS resources to resolve them quickly. Before we look at the various predefined
Alert on step/abnormal increases in storage, memory or cpu
Would be great to be able to alert on percentage increases in storage, memory or cpu rather than the overall usage. These sudden step increases aren't the norm and so warrant investigation and alerting. For example if I get a sudden 10% increase in storage use then id like to be alerted even if this means i'm still under the overall threshold.
New monitor for email blacklistings
Greetings, I've been told there's no monitor existing now for periodically checking various email blocklists for domain entries. I think this would be a great monitor to add, so one could list their email domain(s) with the monitor and it would check a certain intervals to see if the domain(s) show up in the popular blocklists. Maybe daily, or weekly, something like that. Help to protect the business reputation, notify of potential email spoofing or hacks, etc. Thanks, just an idea. Steven
