Resource Process/Service Templates
Hi Team, We are a Managed Services Provider. As we have to manage many of the same types of servers for different customers. It would be nice to have templates that we can apply to a bunch of servers at once (or at setup to ensure same) vs having to setup one by one. Example: We have x customers with IIS web servers. On a typical IIS server we would need to monitor process x, y, and z. So ideally as we get a new customer with IIS, we can just pick a template as part of setup so that it has all the
Expanded output on group Outages page
Would like to ask if there is a way to get a reason column on the group outages page? Currently, it lists outages but no reason, so I need to move away from the outages page and open each monitor individually to see what the issues are that are listed.
Read-only client agent mode
We have clients that want to be assured that we do not have the power to restart their services & processes. If the client agent had an option (set on the client itself) to disallow any actions, such as starting/stopping a service or process, then that would llow us to assure the client that we can't make changes are are, in-fact, just doing monitoring.
Network Mount Point
Is there plugin that can be used with the on-premise poller to check for network points Example would want to check the following on Windows Servers \\Server\
Third Party Integration by Monitor Type
It would be nice to have more options for adding or removing monitors from third party integrations. For instance with a PagerDuty integration, we have two options. Either select all monitors or individually select each monitor. It would be nice to have an option for monitor type and/or monitor group .

Disable Down alerts for Server groups
Hi I would like to know how to disable Down alerts (more precisely call alerts) for specific Server Group or Monitor. I know that can be disable at the user lvl but we have Production and DR environments being monitored. I don't want users to get notifications from DR but still get notifications for Production, if I disable at user lvl they wont get any. So how can I do this? Any tip? Thanks
Override cpu and memory thresholds
Right now, one can easily override Threshold and Availability profiles on monitor level for disk space. For example, one can set this on profile level: And then on monitor level do this to override that value: This is great, because one can override this profile setting on a more specific level. It would be even better if we could do the same for Memory and CPU thresholds. So configure let's say 85% CPU on profile level, but override that on monitor level for one specific monitor. The way to do it
kannel monitoring
To monitor kannel/smpp traffic
Tip #21: Identify where SQL queries are being slowed down
Slow performing SQL queries can be identified and pinpointed with the help of stack traces. Whenever your queries exceed the specified threshold limit, their stack trace is captured by the APM Insight agent, which can be viewed in the corresponding transaction trace. This helps you find out which methods yield slowly executed queries. The stack trace of SQL queries can be viewed under the Traces tab.
Add a process or service to a server monitor by api
When we spin up servers we want to be able to add the specific services/processes that are important to that server to be actively monitored. For instance, say we are spinning up a filemaker service on a windows server, we want that filemaker service to be monitored & we just need to make sure it is monitored so if it crashes or stops we can be alerted.
Schedule Maintenance start time = now
Would it be possible to add a checkbox next to the start time box when scheduling a new maintenance window that updates the time to be exactly "now" (including the seconds). I have sysadmins that want to take something down and having them have to wait 1 to 2 minutes because the interface is lacking makes them grumble. See below for an example of what this would look like:
Change scheduled maintenance window once it is active
It would really be nice if we could change a scheduled maintenance window while it is active. Suppose you are in the process of doing maintenance and you have a 4 hour maintenance window set up. After 3 hours you are done and you would like to see Site24x7 start testing again so you can confirm everything is okay before you go home. The only way I can see to do that is to completely delete the maintenance window. I would like to keep the maintenance window there for historical reasons. Is there some
Feature Request: AWS Configuration Template
Hello, Can you please implement an AWS Monitor configuration template? When AWS resources are discovered, they are automatically given the User Alert Group settings that are on the main AWS Monitor. That is great. However, the newly discovered AWS resources are not assigned to any Monitor Group by default. This causes problem for our customers who use DevOps and Continuous Integration processes where AWS resources are created/destroyed on demand with each "release". Specifically, they can no longer
Using Actions with Windows servers?
We're not clear how to implement Actions with our Windows servers. For instance, we use Server Monitors to monitor services and process on many Windows servers. How exactly do we use Actions to make the service or process restart if it goes down on a Windows server. The help page on the subject of Actions is quite vague. It refers to using web hooks to perform the Actions on the server. Does this mean that as a Site24x7 customer, we are required to hire a developer to construct a web hook that the
Add option to Windows agent to pause monitoring/enter maintenance until next reboot
Sometimes we need to perform one-off restarts of servers and do not think to pause the server monitor on the site. Can an option be added to the agent to enable a maintenance mode or monitoring pause? This would keep monitors from alerting when needing a quick reboot. Thanks Eric
Custom Plugin Not Polling
I wrote a custom plugin with C# for a windows server with SQL Server. The plugin loads/registers just fine, and returned data a single time. The idea is every 5 minutes query a database local to that server to determine a value (relevant to count of errors internal to an application), and graph that. If I suspend and then re-activate, it will poll. Again, one time. Right now the plugin state says "Last Polled Time" of 3 hours. The rest of the monitor attributes (windows, cpu, disk, memory, sql metrics,
Eaton 2200 UPS/Sub group suspend/Monitor group Tree View/Subgroup copy or move/Threshold not equal to
We would like the following features added if possible: Full support for Eaton 2200 UPS devices The ability to suspend/maintenance a single sub group within a monitor group A tree view of the monitor groups -> sub groups -> devices that can expand collapse as needed Monitor Group 1 Subgroup 1 Device 1 Device 2 Subgroup 1 Device 3 Device 4 Monitor Group 2 ... The ability to move or copy a subgroup from one monitor group to another Adding this functionality would eliminate the need to recreate the
Fixed and consistent polling intervals between primary and non primary locations
Please equalize the polling frequency of non primary location to the primary location polling frequency \ interval. for Example: If my primary location is London and the poll interval for this monitor is 1 min please make all relevant location poll every 1 min and not every 30 minutes.
Visualize blind spots within corporate, cloud, and ISP networks using the Network Route Map
If your data center experienced an outage due to an ISP problem, the first thing you probably do is go to a terminal and execute your nifty command line tools. These tools give you a lot of information, textually. However, troubleshooting network outages aren't always easy, as slow connections or outages may be caused by issues outside your corporate network and parsing all this data is hard. Now, with Site24x7's launch of the Network Route Map, you can visually gauge the network path, latency, and
Traffic Light System Status Button for posting on web pages
My department would like to be able to have a relatively small graphic ( service name + up-arrow/checkmark/traffic-light) on our main web page indicating the status of various services. The uptime button is about the right size but doesn't include the name of the service and isn't "is the service up or not". The idea is to tell the user whether their issue is service-wide or just something to do with them. The status page gives us that but we don't want it to take up too much real estate on the main
attributes in API monitor group query response?
I'm querying the API like www.site24x7.com/api/current_status/group/81729000004863001?suspended_required=true and I wrote a script assuming there would be one "attribute_value" for each monitor in the response, according to the document at www.site24x7.com/help/api/#current-status-of-monitor-group My report runs once a month (checking SSL cert expirations), and it worked fine until February when I started seeing a list of "attributes" per monitor, each with an "attribute_value" instead of the single
Incident Reason in overview
When you browse to the monitors page, and click on NOC view, it lists the reason for each incident. However, in list view it does not (only Monitor Name, Performance and Last Polled). Would it be possible to add an extra column with the incident reason?
Email Alert Window
To allow email alerts to be sent out during a certain period. Some concept as sms/voicecall window just for emails.
Support SNI for SSL certificates
SNI allows multiple SSL/TLS hostnames on one IP/port. While a website might appear to live on a load balancer or CDN, the webserver may have a certificate installed for fallback. If the DNS entry for a domain directs to the CDN or load balancer and the webserver hosts multiple websites with certificates, there is no way to check each certificate if different ports are not used. In the Cloudflare example, even without SNI, a server may be configured not to respond without a proper hostname request.
System uptime
Can the servers uptime be added on the summary screen and in the Root Cause Analyses report? It isn't clear sometimes if it rebooted and also would be good to know to help troubleshoot. Thanks Eric Duncan
MFA Sending Number
When you enable two factor on an account, if it possible for you all to send all Zoho verification codes from a single SMS phone number? Reason, our phones puts SMS text messages from non-contacts in an Unknown & Junk folder and no alert is given. I could create a contact if the number stayed the same. Thanks Eric
Tip #20: Fix slow webpages with On-Demand Snapshots [Real User Monitoring]
Experiencing a slow webpage can quickly turn prospective customers away from your products and services. And what's worse-many times we might not even know the exact root cause of the problem without exhaustive analysis. In such scenarios,RUM On-Demand Snapshots come in handy. A Snapshot is a collection of URL's accessed by the user during a session, which is taken at fixed intervals. You can trigger On-Demand Snapshots as and when you experience a sluggish webpage. This will help you analyze webpage

Feature Request - MS Exchange additional queue thresholds
Please can you add some additional threshold values that alert on Transport Queues, the data is populated in the console but we have no way of being alerted if the queue size increases.
Website Monitor : Content is modified : show me the diff
When a get content modified alerts it takes me a lot of time to download the attachment and open it up in a difference tool to compare it with the stable version (which I also tend to download from the RCA tab). It would save me a ton of time if you had a show diff tool linked from these emails.

Monagent stopped collected data
Hello, I installed monagent on server with CentOS 7, no different from other CentOS servers i run. I noticed data was not reported for the serve in website monitoring but the status of monitor wsa OK (green). After monagent restart everything is working. From logs it is look like i run out of inodes or space but it is not true. Don't you have a clue where problem could be? Thank you. Feature Request - Web Transaction (Browser) Step Number/Details included in SMS Alerts
Hi guys, I have been advised by support to raise this feature request here so it can be added to the roadmap. We have noticed with the SMS alerts, they only tell you the name of the monitor that is down and time. We would like to request that the web transaction (browser) step number and description of the step is included in the SMS text body when one of the website transaction monitors goes down or one of the steps has an issue. This way, the recipient will know exactly where the transaction is
How to automatic assign AWS Resources to a monitor group
Hello! We have some AWS monitors (EC2, RDS, S3, SNS), we would like to create rules (based on hostname, or other properties) to automatic assign new AWS instances to existing monitor groups in 24x7. Is there a way to do this? We know that we can use "Configuration Template" to do this for Windows and Linux types, but I don't have this option for AWS Cloud Watch resources. Thanks and regards, Davi
Enhance your Custom Dashboard experience by merging with Microsoft Teams tabs
A few months back, Site24x7 launched its integration with Microsoft Teams, allowing you to receive incident status alerts and root cause analysis reports from your monitors on your preferred Microsoft Teams channel. Around that same time, we also released our Custom Dashboard--this feature helps bring data together from multiple monitors on every tier of your infrastructure to provide a single, cohesive interface for analysis and troubleshooting. But we're always looking for ways to improve, so we've
Tip #19: Debug error transactions with ease by inspecting their stack trace
People often talk about "finding the needle in the haystack," and this phrase definitely applies when debugging error transactions. In general, not all transactions are successful; issues like corrupted data formats, external component failure, and improper exception handling can contribute to transaction failure. So how exactly do you identify these transaction problems using APM Insight? With error transactions, inspecting each transaction's stack trace comes in handy. Stack traces are like reports-they
