Memory spike once server monitoring agent is installed

Why do I see a sudden spike in my memory usage once I install the server monitoring agent?

Use Case:
A user installs the Windows agent in around 20 servers. Once the installation is successful, there seems to be a sudden spike in the memory usage of these servers to 100%.

Solution:
A memory spike after installing the server agent could be due to the antivirus installed in the machine. This generally would consume high memory during the scan. Check if the antivirus scans the server agent. If yes, exclude the agent from scanning in order to resolve this.

If there is no change in memory after disabling the antivirus, disable the option Enable Event Log/Syslog Monitoring in the Edit Server Monitor page and check the memory performance. To disable this option in multiple servers in one go, please refer this article.
