Record websites with basic authentication using Web Transaction (Browser)

For recording websites with basic authentication using Web Transaction (Browser)

In Firefox, every time we access a website that requires basic authentication, the authentication information that we provide is stored in the browser profile. So, if you open the page again in the same browser, it will use the basic authentication information stored in the browser profile. If you want to clear the basic authentication details, we need to close the browser completely and open it again.

The same behavior applies to our Web Transaction (Browser) recorder as well. When you provide basic authentication details for the first time, it is captured and stored in the browser profile of the recorder. When we try to use the same recorder, without closing it, to capture another set of transactions, the basic authentication details are taken from the browser profile and hence, the step of adding the basic authentication details are not captured during the recording. Hence, this results in an error.

For recording websites that use basic authentication, we would recommend closing the recorder after every recording or for every new recording.
