Troubleshooting steps when the MSI agent is blocked during installation

Bulk addition of monitors can be done using Active Directory (AD). Click here to know how to add a Windows monitor using AD. The AD group policy helps to manage their users, computers and groups easily and quickly.

In cases when the agent is pushed to the user server, and the MSI agent is not executed, please follow the below steps to edit the group policy across all the servers: 
  1. Type in gpedit.msc in the Run terminal
  2. Go to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Attachment Manager

  3. Select Do not preserve zone information in file attachments > Edit Policy Setting

  4. Under Edit Policy Settings > check Enabled

  5. Initiate group policy and automatically the agent will get installed

An alternative method is to individualy unblock the agent service wthout editing the group policy. Please follow the below steps:
  1. Go to the agent MSI directory
  2. Right click on Properties
  3. Under Security, select Unblock and save your changes

  4. Double click the MSI file to install the agent
