Set alerts for resource check failures

Alert settings to stay notified when a resource check fails

An alert is raised when a resource check fails and the monitor status is changed from Up to Trouble. This happens only if the Alert when a resource check fails option is set to Yes in the associated server threshold profile.

To set that option,
  1. Log in to Site24x7.
  2. Navigate to Server > Server Monitor > Servers > click on the server monitor.
  3. Hover on the hamburger icon beside the display name and click on Edit.
  4. In the Edit Server Monitor page, scroll down to the Threshold and Availability field and click on the pencil icon.
  5. In the Edit Threshold form, set the option Alert when resource check fails as Yes.
  6. Save your changes.

Note: The general Trouble alert can be configured by setting the 'Alert when a resource check fails' option as 'No' in the server monitor's threshold profile.
Know what are the other possible reasons and their troubleshooting steps if a resource check is not added to your account or when no alerts are received when a check fails.
