Operation planned to test our disaster recovery readiness

Update: Aug 27 : 10:53 AM PST~- We experienced an outage in our service today when we tried to shift back to our main data center from our disaster recovery site. It occurred between 8:29 AM to 9:14 AM PDT due to a database replication race condition.

Additionally customers using Server monitoring would have received false positives. We are in the process of refunding the monitoring credits. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We have planned to test the readiness of our disaster recovery (DR) process on August 31st. Before the actual commencement of this operation, we might do some testing by Friday, August 23 or some time early next week. During this phase, there will be a switch over from our Primary Data Center to our Disaster Recovery (DR) site.

In order to facilitate monitoring from our DR site, we request you to whitelist all the below IP addresses in the allowed list of your firewall.

72.5.230.111, 72.5.230.65, 72.5.230.84, 165.254.168.111, 74.201.155.108, 129.250.194.26

We are expecting some minor monitoring flaws during this switching period and apologize for any inconvenience.

This operation is being carried out to ensure we have a robust DR process in place and to provide our customers with an outage free monitoring experience. Thank you for your understanding.

We will keep this blog updated about this operation. Please report us about any issues you face.

Stay Tuned.
