Feature Request: Docker Configuration Template
Hello, Can you please implement a Docker monitor configuration template? A Docker agent appears to be a normal Site24x7 Linux Server Agent installed into a Docker Instance; however, when deploying a Linux Server Agent into a Docker Instance, it does not take the settings of a Server Agent's Configuration Profile. It would be great to have a way to assign a Docker instance to Monitor Groups and User Alert Groups via a Configuration Profile in the same manner I can assign a lot of other Site24x7 monitors

Linux monitors: prevent autoadding "disks"
Hello, Is there a way we can prevent linux monitors from auto adding mounts to monitor? Example: if you mount an nfs share for restoring a backup, this share will be autoadded by the agent and monitored. When you dismount this share later, then the monitor will go into alarm because the disk is no longer available.

NCM Backups Local Storage
Some of our customers are not comfortable to have the network devices backups stored on site24x7 cloud. We would like an option to store NCM backups on local on-premise poller please. Really appreciate if you can include this feature under NCM
Adding "Memory Utilization" to CSV of performance report
Dear team, We would like to add "Memory Utilization" data to CSV outputted performance report. Currently, we can not obtain the data even though output by clicking [Reports] -> [EC2 Instance] -> [Share this] -> [Export CSV]. Could you please consider to add this?
Add AWS Account ID as tag
Would it be possible to add the AWS Account ID as a tag to an alert that is sent? This would be very convenient for our support staff, so they immediately know what account to look at. Thanks! Tom

Windows Failover Cluster MountPoints
We have multiple mountpoints with no drive letter running in our environment. I can see it in Site24x7 where it shows generic path names such as, \\?\Volume{0670809e-95e1-4233-994c-bb8b86550b2b}, the associated Volume Label and the size. I know I can set the Threshold Configuration for each of the child monitors, however, when it alerts, it only gives the path but not the name, therefore its hard to determine what the issue is for specific users. In the next agent version, will there be a better
Search, filter, and navigate quickly with the enhanced search option

Here's a look at all the options you can use to filter your resources:
Site24x7 up alerts of monitor on JIRA
Hi Team, We setup an alerts of monitor on site24*7. We are getting JIRA ticket when monitor goes down. But also we are getting up alerts on JIRA when it comes up. So we don't want that up alerts ticket on jira. Only need down alert tickets. How we can change configuration setting for that monitors?
Load average: What is it, and what's the best load average for your Linux servers?
What is load average? Load average represents the average load on a CPU during a specific time interval. These values include the number of processes either waiting for or actively using in CPU. The load average can be high or low, depending on the number
Monitoring Background PHP Processes
We have just deployed the PHP APM in Linux to help identify performance bottlenecks. This is giving some good information but, we have found this is only logging data for interactive user sessions. There are a number of other processes that are linked to users uploading batches of data etc. that we need to monitor too. As this is where the bulk of heavy processing happens it is likely to be where will see performance impacts first. Is there a way to monitor these? If not, this would be a good feature
Client Certificate validity check using Site24x7 Server Agent
The s24x7 server agent needs to be able to check and alert on the expiry date of specific CLIENT certificates - used for authentication - in local/personal/etc stores on the server which the agent is running.
StautIQ group
Hi, it would be great if you can configure group permissions inside the access of StatusIQ management webpage to control access to individual statusIQ webpage. Example: some users can access only to certain StatusIQ webpage to post only maintenance date or to only report incidents in certain components. This will help large ISP to give permissions only to specifics users in specific components in each status webpage. Thanks in advance,
Introducing VMware Cluster Monitoring
We are happy to introduce the monitoring of VMware clusters. Monitor VMware clusters to understand their various key metrics, like Effective CPU, Effective Memory, Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) Configuration, DRS Faults, and DRS Migrations, in your environment. What is a VMware Cluster? A cluster is a group of VMware ESX/ESXi hosts that distributes CPU and memory among VMware ESX/ESXi hosts. It is also responsible for high availability and load balancing. Why should you monitor a VMware Cluster?
For developers from developers—Site24x7's engineering blog series
Site24x7 is a monitoring solution that uses many technologies, servers, and databases at the back end. Like any other IT organization, Site24x7 faces it's own set of challenges and tries to fix them swiftly to deliver the best user experience to end users. Our engineering team is never tired of experiments and never leaves any issue unsolved. Working with Java, Angular, Redis, and Cassandra on a daily basis, our developers not only know these languages and tools, but also the emotions that go into
How to optimize Redis with JedisPool
Do you love reading about how various performance-related issues are traced out and fixed? If so, here's our story of how we fixed the Redis performance issues we were facing by optimizing JedisPool. We hope this will help you strengthen your IT environment. Our Redis performance issues and efforts to find the cause A spike in the response time Site24x7 uses Redis in-memory data structures to reduce hits to our back-end databases. We started finding occasional spikes in our application response time.
Monitor your Amazon S3 virtual folders and manage your S3 bucket
Hi there! We are happy to announce our new S3 folder monitoring feature, which allows you to track how your S3 folder is functioning in an S3 bucket. Amazon S3 bucket is a reliable cloud storage platform where you can store and retrieve objects and their descriptive metadata at any scale. There is no limit to the number of objects or folders that you can store in an S3 bucket. The objects and folders can be recursive as well. As a result, managing and monitoring an S3 bucket with multiple objects
Less memory usage for internal pollers
I know the docs call for 8 GB of RAM for pollers but all we do is site monitoring, nothing more so we set ours up with 4GB, but we see a constant 80% or above memory usage on the pollers. Is there anyway to make these more efficient considering all we do is web monitoring? We run no custom scripts or other types of monitoring.
Hiding the monitors group from StatusIQ dropdown
We would like to ask for a feature or an option to disable the expand/collapse of the component group in StatusIQ, while only the main name and the status of it will be presented on the StatusIQ and the monitors inside the monitor group will not be visible, as we want only the header to be visible without the option to be opened, so it will look like just a normal monitor that was added to the StatusIQ
add the Windows service as a component in a status page in the StatusIQ
Hi Team, we would like to add the Windows service as a component in a status page in the StatusIQ. it would be good if it can be implemented, which will help to add Windows services in StatusIQ. Thanks, Bhavesh Patel 2.13.0.0

5 features that help you power up AWS observability
Before we take a deep dive into the ways to achieve observability, it is important to understand what observability is and how it is achieved. Frequently, observability is confused with monitoring. Observability provides end-to-end visibility into a system’s
Two Factor Authentication – What it is and How to implement it
One of the biggest pains of using the internet today is constantly being forced to create new accounts to use basic services on the internet. While many tech savvy users know to use password managers to allow them to create unique strong passwords for each website, the average internet user is much less sophisticated. Even after being told over and over to use strong passwords and create unique ones for each website, most users simply reuse easy to remember code or write them on notes in easy to
Testing - Create user alert group
Can I able to add user alert group in add monitor page?
How to disable only CPU monitoring at specific time, for specific host (every day)
Hello there! We have a hundreds of different company hosts and services, and need to disable some specific alerts(like CPU, or MEM or DISK), that as know as false-positive alerts. This is one real host example, but we have more than one hundred, that need to customizable like it, to prevent specific false-positive alerts. The server is turned on, and after 30 minutoes, Antivirus scan all files and make CPU high, but applications hosted in this server, is working fine and we do not need this CPU alerts
Monitoring as code: An emerging idea in a cloud-native world
Monitoring as code (MaC) is a shift in thinking that is now being increasingly adopted in software development. Knowing the significance of MaC and incorporating monitoring in the development process early on brings a great number of benefits for DevOps teams. What is MaC? MaC is an extension of the everything-as-code mindset adopted by DevOps and site reliability teams worldwide. MaC is similar to the approach of infrastructure as code (IaC). Why MaC? Today's software updates are faster and more
Monitor Group Specific Event Reports
Hi Support, As a process monitors can be grouped aligned to the Business Service or Product. With the configuration of Threshold configuration we can setup the notification for Trouble / Critical violations but that will not be the same as there will be lag of 3 minutes or 5 minutes etc. as per configuration. This will not provide us to review the Total Violations in the specific period could be Daily/Weekly/Monthly associated with Monitor Groups/Business Services. This will only send notification
Website defacement: how to deal with dynamically-generated image src URIs?
Does anyone have any suggestions about how to handle the false-positive alerts triggered by dynamically-generated 3rd party image src URIs? A prime example of this is Twitter's (conversion tracking) Universal Website Tag[1]. As of May 2022, the JavaScript which Twitter requires you to include on your website (merely loads Twitter-hosted JavaScript which the website owner has no control over) also generates a request for a 1px tracking image using a URI with a random parameter value and one of a handful
Feature request : (based on ticket # 1414671 #) Login attempts count
We would like to have an option to count the failed login attempts. The idea is to be able to catch brute force attacks etc. Eventually, to be able to count them and to be able to set alarm threshold (for example) - login attempts -> count 3 -> on third alarm. Time threshold also will be useful on same i think. Thanks in advance.
HP ILO
The performance of a server is very important, but data loss is a priority. We use many HP servers and it would be very useful to have a storage monitor to check the internal disk failure. The integrated ILO shows the damaged disks and it would be useful for Site24x7 to query it indicating the degraded raid.
Forced redirect from Site24x7 to Cliq?!
Am I the only one experiencing this? As of this Monday morning (2 May), when trying to access any Site24x7 web UI page, the browser is forced-redirected to Zoho Cliq's product description page (www.zoho.com/cliq/?serviceurl=%2Favcliq%3Fframeorigin%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww.site24x7.com&zsrc=fromproduct). The Site24x7 web UI is completely unusable in this state! This is inexcusable. No click action is needed by the user, the page redirects automatically. I've tried this in multiple browsers and each
SITE24x7 ANOMALY CONTROL PRETTY USELESS FOR US
Hi, So we hace around 500 monitors running and I notice my team completely ignores the 'confirmed anomaly' dashboard and the all anomaly control, which, I think is very important. I did a deep dive into 43 reported anomalies out of 69 in 1 day and all are false positive. Site 24x7 keeps reporting traffic spikes (bytes sent or received) and cpu spikes based on BASELINES. While this is similar to what I reported on www.site24x7.com/community/cloudfront-monitoring-ia-thresdhold-not-useful%2C there's
Bypass PASSWORD PROTECTION when source address can be matched against IP ACL on STATUS IQ Page
There should be an optionally configurable interaction between IP RESTRICTION for access to a SIQ status page and the password protection function for the same. Users should NOT have to enter a password to access the a status page - when the page is password protected - IF the request is coming from one of the whitelisted IP addresses in the IP ACL. This will allow for a far more user friendly experience. Whatever technology you're using to determine the requesting source IP (XFF Header?) use that
