Process SMTPD warnings Linux Webservers

Hi all,

Last week I've installed the Site24x7 agent on my 3 Linux webservers running Centos 7 and Plesk. No problems, everything was fine.

All of a sudden monitoring went nuts complaining about the SMTPD process failing/not running. This is true because when mail is sent, the process pops up. When Postfix has delivered the mail, the process is stopped.

I rather check if a service like Postfix is active instead of a process. Any chance someone can give me some advice regarding the monitoring of services instead of processes.

Has anyone encountered such behaviour in the past? I've searched this forum (0 results), searched using Google (Non related to Site24x7 or no explanation how to configure the monitoring of SMTPD processes)
