Integrating Onprem Pollers alerts to PagerDuty
Hello Team, We do not have an option to select the onPrem poller at PagerDuty (third party inetgration) page so as to send the alerts integrated with PagerDuty tool. I would request this to be made possible as this would be an essential feature everyone will be looking for. I understand that choosing "All monitors" would make it possible but that is not something which we are looking for- since we do not want us to be spammed for all the alerts. Webhooks API
From your announcements I saw you are now supporting general webhooks as means of notifications. This means we can migrate from (ab)using Actions to using Webhooks. I was rewriting our setup scripts, and wanted to create a third_party_service using the API, the same way we do for Actions. However, when trying to post to 'https://www.site24x7.com/api/third_party_services', I get a Method not allowed. Can we not POST to this API and what is the correct way then to create webhooks using the API? As
polling interval modification
Hi, My company is using Site24x7 for monitoring services. Just chatted with Sushma, and found out there is no way to modify polling interval/frequency for Server (Linux) monitoring. Currently is set by default as 5 minutes which we have urgent requirement for 1 or 2 minutes interval. I was informed that it is not possible to do it, even with my request to try to modify the configuration agent (/opt/site24x7/monagent/conf). I believe your agent pick up some configuration to send the monitoring data

Parse JSON response in REST monitor
I would like to check the "grade" my site has been assigned by SSL Labs to be sure it's not failing. (Norton uses this to decide if they should block a website, and mine was recently blocked) The REST API URL and JSON response are at the bottom of this post. What I need to identify is whether I have an "A" or "B" grade versus a "C", "D" or "F" grade. Using the TEXT parser, I can't include quotes, so searching for "A" really isn't allowed. And if I just search for the letter A, that occurs everywhere.
API access using Device Key
We have a whole new API based on REST principles. Its a lot more comprehensive for all Admin Actions in the Web Client. This new API is based on an "AuthToken" (like a secret key) concept that is already used by our Single Sign On Platform. Catching Unhandled Exceptions for applications using in .NET framework

Hi THere - During the install, all Windows Servives I see available in the Server Tools section of my server. However, I just turned a service off on purpose but was not alerted. How do I configure this to send a trouble message when a service changes statuses from "Start" to "Stopped"? Thanks!
Is there a way to see public Status with All Groups?
I have the monitors sorted by groups so it is clearer to end users what servers are providing what functions. I would like to make our public status page display the same. I see you can select a single group but not multiples. Is there a way to do what I am looking for?

Amazon Web Service S3 Buckets confusing or not accurate
I added an "Amazon Web Service" Monitor, and I followed the instructions to add credentials so that site24x7 will have read-only access to my AWS information. I use S3, Cloudfront, Cloudwatch and IAM but the site24x7 monitor only checks EC2, DynamoDB, Load balancer and S3. So at least I can monitor S3. But I don't understand the reported metrics, and I believe they are incorrect. The "Amazon Web Service" Monitor says I have a "bucket size" of 9. What does this mean? Looking at my sole S3 bucket,
"SSL certificate untrusted" ?
I'm trying to create a new SSL certificate monitor. I'm pointing it at a client's website. It has a valid SSL cert that will expire notAfter=Aug 19 23:59:59 2017 GMT. I can talk to the website using `openssl s_client` and Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. I know there are already talks of sub grouping and other group updates. I would like to add this as a feature to have that would greatly increase the functionality of groups. Would be nice to have groups created that have a type class attached to it and each type class will have the options available to that kind of monitor. Do not re-register agent after re-install a server
From time to time we reinstall our terminalservers (50). After a re-installation the server register in the monitoring portal again. This is a problem because there are two servers in the monitoring with the same name! Is there a workarround (registry key or something else) available to do NOT reregister the agent and map the server to the "old" entry? How does other customers handle this? Regards Patrik
Alerts - Can we configure differently?
Hi Folks - Happy Friday, I hope everyone is doing well! Currently, I have multiple windows services being checked per each server. I have it configured to alert "down" when the service is anything other than operating normally, rather than in "Trouble". However, if a server goes down (NOT the server) the alert still says the Server when down via SMS or email subject line. It isn't until you open the email to see that the reason the server is down is due to the fact a service is down. Is there anyway
I want to Export Monitors from one subscription and import them into another
HOw can I do that? We bought a separate subscription to provide some separation since groups were not adequate. And now we have to re-enter all the monitors into the new one, one at a time.
No data available for SQL monitor
Hi, I just installed a agent in a Windows 2012 server. it promptly auto discovered Windows, IIS and SQL servers installed in the same box and it started posting data from windows and IIS server. Setup Progress Alerts
I just sent in a support ticket but thought I'd bring it up here as well as I'm sure others have the same concern. When we log in there is a warning: Internet Services: We have discovered several resources Is there a way to view the list without having to add it? The only options we get are: View List & Add Ignore How would we go about seeing what those resources are and then decide if we want to add them? The just blindly add things system that you are currently using is not a good way to do things.
Monitor: Web Application (Real Browser) - location question
Hi, I'm currently on a free account for evaluation purposes and set up a "Web Application (Real Browser)" with two locations 1. Frankfurt (Primary) and 2. Munich When checking the log report for that monitor it appears that the main location Frankfurt reports for every check (~6-7minutes) but the 2nd location Munich only appears ever ~30minutes/5th check. Why is the 2nd location not reporting for every regular check? Is this a limitation because of the trial account? Thank you in advance!
Agent Service could not establish communication
Morning! I need help with this agent. Already did reintallation, stop / start services, and communication goes up and down. Process SMTPD warnings Linux Webservers
Hi all, Last week I've installed the Site24x7 agent on my 3 Linux webservers running Centos 7 and Plesk. No problems, everything was fine. All of a sudden monitoring went nuts complaining about the SMTPD process failing/not running. This is true because when mail is sent, the process pops up. When Postfix has delivered the mail, the process is stopped. I rather check if a service like Postfix is active instead of a process. Any chance someone can give me some advice regarding the monitoring of services

Is there a way to add Windows Services to a monitor group? It looks like a service/process is lumped into the server as a whole - but I have a couple apps that I run different "environments" on the same server.

95th percentile bandwidth monitor
Hello, Does Site24x7 have the ability to monitor bandwidth from an on-premise Firewall? Ideally have a threshold setup that would alert/alarm when max bandwidth has been used for XX minutes to avoid overage charges on 95th percentile billing from our datacenter. Firewalls are Sonicwall, so I believe Netflow/AppFlow and SNMP are available.
API Usage: how to add linux processes to monitoring
Hi there, we configure and update everything related to an server monitor via API. Automation is KEY for us, as we have hundreds of AWS linux machines. Some of them are just alive for a couple of days. However, we need to monitor specific processes like "squid" or "httpd" on the server monitor due to its lifetime. The Site24x7 GUI is not working for us, because as mentioned, automation is mission critical for us. No human interactions please. My question is, how can we add via API a linux process

Windows Event Log - Content Check - Not working
Hi Team - I'm having issues with a content check working. I have a process where I ping a large list of servers and spool results to a text file. It either spools a message saying the server is valid and is available for processing. Or, an error message based on what type of error the PING command throws. Success: And this is one of the failures: In each error message, it's prefixed with Error. That is how I set up my Content Check but it doesn't seem to be working. Does this seem to be right? Thanks!

Hi all, we use a proxy server for the monitoring agent on all servers. In my point of view the proxy server is the core server for the complete product "Site24x7". How does other customers implement a dependcy for all monitors if a proxy server is in use? Automatically detect active ports per server?
Hi Team - A lot of the services I need to monitor are through ports. Therefore, I am manually setting up all the ports in 24x7 that pertain to the processes I need to monitor. Is there a way to install the msiexec.exe and have it automatically detect active ports, create the Resource profile for each port, and begin monitoring? There are normally 15 ports per server I am currently configuring. Thanks!
Server Down Alert
If we have a regularly scheduled reboot of a server can we not have a Down alert for that incident, so for that server or a Threshold and Availability group - set the duration of time down higher to avoid the alert and only come if the server is down for longer than that. I only see setting these at a process level. Thanks.
Status Dashboard Time Zone for Maintenance
I noticed a discrepancy when I schedule maintenance: the start/end times I enter are in my configured local time zone (ex 01:00 AM - 02:00 AM EDT (-0500)), however the status dashboard (layout 1) shows those same times 01:00 - 02:00 but states that they are in UTC as per the column header.
