How to update the API key for Azure AI Search

How to update the API key for Azure AI Search

It is mandatory to update the API key for the Azure AI Search service monitor to view the Statistics metrics, which provide in-depth quota and usage data of indexes, documents, data sources, aliases, and much more. To add the Azure AI Search monitor, follow the steps in this help document

Use the below steps to update the API key. This is a one-time step for each AI Search monitor that will last until the existing API key is regenerated.

Steps to update the API key

  1. Navigate to your AI Search service in the Azure portal.
  2. Go to the Keys tab under Settings, and select API keys under API Access control.
  3. Copy the Primary admin key.
  4. Log into Site24x7. Navigate to Cloud > Azure > Under Azure AI Search service monitor, click the Statistics tab.
  5. Paste the copied key in the API key field, then click Submit.

The API key should not exceed 32 characters and consist of letters and digits.

If the shared API key is wrong, you will get an error message. In that case, copy the Secondary admin key and paste the key below. If that also doesn't work, you can regenerate the Primary admin key and update it here.

Data collection

After successful entry, the data collection will be triggered. It takes a maximum of 5 minutes for the data of the Statistics metrics to be populated. Refresh after 5 minutes to view the complete data.

Threshold configuration

You can set thresholds for these metrics by navigating to the Azure Edit page > Configuration Profiles > Threshold and Availability and select the corresponding threshold profile from the drop-down. By default, you will get alerted when the usage exceeds 80 percent.
If you still face any issues, contact support@site24x7.com
