Troubleshooting VMware ESX hardware monitor sensor data
If your VMware ESX hardware monitor displays inaccurate or outdated sensor data that does not reflect the actual state of the ESX server, follow these steps to refresh the hardware health data:
Steps to fix outdated sensor data:
- Log in to the VMware vCenter Server using the vSphere Client.
- Go to Hosts and Clusters and select the ESX host.
- Open the Monitor tab and click Hardware Health.
- In the Sensors section, click Refresh to update the sensor data.
This will refresh the hardware health data to match the actual sensors on the ESX host. If the issue continues, contact support for assistance.
