Does Site24x7 use direct selenium script to perform synthetic checks?
No, Site24x7 converts the selenium scripts (HTML) to Site24x7's required format during synthetic transaction monitoring. This is to enable discovery of other identification properties (such as id, name, CSS, XPath) of the element. Selenium scripts can only capture one attribute of an element. The intelligent playback engine will use these discovered properties to fix minor changes in the web application without affecting the script playback. This will also allow customers to free themselves from manual modification of the scripts, each time there is a minor change in the application.
