When configuring thresholds for performance metrics, you can set strategies that the website monitor will use to send alerts during a threshold breach. There are four options available:
- Poll count
- Poll average
- Time duration
- Average time
The default strategy option is Poll count.
Poll count:
Consider a threshold for response time that’s configured as follows:
When the response time for five continuous polls is greater than 500ms, Site24x7 will send a Trouble alert to the user.
Poll average:
Consider a threshold for response time that’s configured as follows:
When the average response time for five continuous polls exceeds 500ms, Site24x7 will send a Trouble alert to the user.
Time duration:
Consider a threshold for response time that’s configured as follows:
When the response time exceeds 500ms continuously for five minutes, Site24x7 will send a Trouble alert to the user.
Average time:
Consider a threshold for response time that’s configured as follows:
When the average response time over the last five minutes exceeds 500ms, Site24x7 will send a Trouble alert to the user.
