Why is there a new plugin added in my server agent?

New security plugins auto-discovered and added to your server agent

To ensure server security and system integrity, we have enabled automatic discovery and addition of the Windows or Linux security plugins (depending on the type of server) in the Site24x7 server agent's folder.

These plugins enable proactive security threat monitoring and ensure real-time protection, making them essential for monitoring your systems.

Using the Windows security plugin, you can:
  1. Detect unauthorized access attempts before they compromise security.
  2. Respond to malware threats before they spread.
  3. Ensure system integrity by keeping software and security defenses up to date.
Using the Linux security updates plugin, you can:
  1. Identify security updates, which lets you patch Linux vulnerabilities, blocking attackers from exploiting them. This prevents unauthorized access and data breaches, protecting sensitive info and reducing risks proactively.
  2. Monitor packages and upgrades, keeping software up to date, securing sensitive data on Linux servers by fixing flaws. It meets industry rules and lowers risks by staying ahead of threats.
  3. Receive alerts for updates and reboots help fix issues, keeping the system stable and avoiding crashes. This proactive step cuts downtime and keeps things secure.

These essential plugins will be automatically added to your new servers, enabling immediate monitoring. For existing servers, the deployment will happen in phases.
If your servers already have other existing plugins installed, we won’t add these to prevent any licensing changes. However, if you’d like them installed, please reach out to support@site24x7.com
