Why is the monitor status shown as Down in the Meraki dashboard while shown as Up in Site24x7?
Test the Meraki REST API response and compare the monitor status with Site24x7 to determine the correct status of the Meraki devices monitored in Site24x7.
Case 1: Different statuses for the REST API response and the Site24x7 monitor.
Follow the below steps:
1. Check the Collection Time (last polled time) in the Log Report tab of a Meraki device to see if the Site24x7 monitor status is Down. The Site24x7 monitor may be Down due to connectivity issues, no data collection happening, or other reasons.2. If the Meraki device hasn't polled for a long time, check the Collection Time (last polled time) of the Meraki organization monitor. Click Network > Meraki > Meraki organization > Log Report to view the Collection Time of the Meraki organization. If the REST API and the Site24x7 monitor have different responses, your monitor could be Down due to connectivity issues, no data collection happening, or other reasons.
Case 2: Same statuses for the REST API response and the Site24x7 monitor.
This means Site24x7 is reporting the status correctly. If you still have clarifications on the monitor status, kindly contact the Meraki support team for further help.
