Mismatch between Windows Updates shown in system and Site24x7

Issue

You may see pending Windows updates listed in your Windows Update monitor, but your device may show no updates for installation.

Cause

Site24x7 fetches the updates available for your system's configuration and lists them all in the web interface, irrespective of organization policy. Your organization's update policies may filter out a few updates from Microsoft based on severity levels. Hence, a few of the updates rolled out by Microsoft may not show up in your system's "Check for Updates" dashboard, even if they are applicable for your system's configuration.

Resolution

Inform the server administrators about the pending updates shown in the Windows Updates monitor report.
