How to edit the bandwidth configuration of network interfaces?
 Why is bandwidth configuration required?

The bandwidth configuration essentially defines the maximum throughput (in Mbps, Gbps, etc.) that the link can handle. This value serves as the denominator when calculating utilization percentages.

 - Rx Utilized (%) = (In Traffic/Configured bandwidth)×100
- Tx Utilized (%) = (Out Traffic/Configured bandwidth)×100
To compute these percentages, you need the value of the configured bandwidth. If the configured bandwidth is not set correctly, the percentages for Rx and Tx utilization could be misleading or incorrect.
Updating via an individual network device

  - Navigate to Network > Network Devices.
- Click the required device.
- Navigate to the Interfaces tab.
- Click the hamburger icon  in the Action column of the interface for which the bandwidth configuration has to be edited, or click the Bandwidth Configuration button. in the Action column of the interface for which the bandwidth configuration has to be edited, or click the Bandwidth Configuration button.

- Select Change Interface Settings.

- In the window that pops up, select the interface(s) from the Interface List or click Select All to select all the interfaces in that device.

- Select a Traffic Counter based on your need from the drop-down menu.

- Specify the correct Out Speed and In Speed in Mbps.

- Click Submit.

Bulk update of bandwidth configuration

The bulk update for bandwidth configuration allows you to set or modify the In Speed and Out Speed values for multiple interfaces at once. This helps ensure consistency across devices without manually updating each interface.

 When to use

  - When adding new interfaces and assigning uniform bandwidth limits.

To update bandwidth speeds for a group of interfaces after a network upgrade.

- To correct incorrect or outdated bandwidth values across multiple interfaces.

How to update bandwidth configuration in bulk

  - Navigate to Network > Network Devices. Select the required device, go to the Interfaces tab, and click Bandwidth Configuration. Alternatively, you can perform this action from Admin > Inventory > Bulk Action as well.
- In the Change Interface settings pop-up window:
   - Select one or more interfaces from the Interface List.
- Enter the Out Speed (in Mbps).
- Enter the In Speed (in Mbps).
- Click Submit to save your changes.

     - The configured values will override existing in/out speed settings for the selected interfaces.
- Ensure you enter speeds in Mbps.
