How do I stop auto-discovery of GCP resources in Site24x7?
There are two ways to disable auto-discovery of resources in Site24x7:
- Exclude/Include GCP Resources using Labels/Tags in the Add/Edit GCP Monitor page.
- Deselect the resources from monitoring under the option Select the Resources for Monitoring in the Add/Edit GCP Monitor page.
Exclude/Include GCP Resources using Labels/Tags
- Log in to your GCP console and add a label for the resources that needs to be excluded for monitoring. For example, provide the Key as monitor_site24x7 and Value as false. During discovery, Site24x7 will auto-associate the tags and show them in the Site24x7 web client.

- Now log in to Site24x7 and go to GCP > Infrastructure/Inventory Dashboard.
- Hover on the hamburger icon beside the page title and click Edit.
- In the Edit GCP Monitor page, toggle the Exclude option for Exclude/Include GCP Resources using Labels/Tags. Enter the key as monitor_site24x7 and value to be false. Save your changes.

This way, the resources with the tag monitor_site24x7 will not be added for monitoring.
Deselect the resources under the option Select the Resources for Monitoring
- Log in to Site24x7 and go to GCP > Infrastructure/Inventory Dashboard.
- Hover on the hamburger icon beside the page title and click Edit.
- Under Select the Resources for Monitoring, deselect the resource types that you do not wish to monitor. Save your changes.

This way, the resources that are not selected will not be added for monitoring.
