Custom Reports provide the flexibility to create reports that match your specific monitoring and reporting requirements. The following questions cover key aspects of Custom Reports:

  1. What are Resource Inventory and Monitoring Inventory attributes?
    Both help refine your report based on how your resources are configured. 
    1. Resource Inventory includes details collected directly from the resource, such as Host name, IP address, OS, or other hardware-related information.
    2. Monitoring Inventory includes configuration-related details, such as Profiles, Monitor Groups, Tags, and other monitor settings.
  2. Which category does a Server belong to?
    Server monitors belong to the Server category, which includes Agentless Servers and Instance monitors.
  3. What does Group Columns by do?
    Group Columns by organizes report data either by time intervals or by selected attributes, helping you consolidate attributes data across time intervals or consolidate different attribute data in a specific time interval. 
  4. What is View by used for?
    View by controls the data granularity—daily, weekly, or monthly—allowing you to analyze trends over the selected time period.
  5. What is the maximum column limit in a custom report?
    You can add up to 30 columns in a single custom report.
