Error 2503 during Windows server monitoring agent installation

Issue

Facing the error 2503 during the installation of the Windows server monitoring agent.

Cause

During installation, the installer package files have to be written to the "C:\Windows\Temp" folder. When Windows is unable to write these files to this specific folder, error code 2503 is displayed. 

Resolution

Perform either of the below actions:
  1. Provide "Full control" permission to the user for accessing the temp folder.
  2. Install the agent using an account with administrator access to the Temp folder.
