Escalate my downtime alerts to specific contacts
Configure your escalation settings to define your escalation policy. Pick an own roster to send the notifications during a breach and specify the exact time before escalation. You can escalate any downtime by updating your Notification Profile.
To configure your escalation settings,
- Log in to Site24x7 and go to Admin > Configurations Profiles > Notification Profile (+).
- Under Escalation Settings, fill out the following fields:
- When the status is: Select the status for which you want to escalate the alert.
- Escalate After: Provide the time delay in minutes after which you want to send the alert.
- Notify User Alert Group: Select the User Alert Group for which the alert should be sent.
- Notification Medium/Third-Party Medium: Select the desired medium of alert.
Once configured, whenever a downtime exceeds the specified escalation time period, an email will be triggered automatically to the specified contact groups. Learn how to modify your
user alert group.
Note: If you want to do this configuration to an already existing monitor, navigate to Home > Monitors > click on the desired monitor > hover on the hamburger icon beside the display name and click Edit > Configuration Profiles > click on the pencil icon beside Notification Profile. Update the escalation settings and save your changes.
