Why does Site24x7 show an “Unknown” status for my Azure resource health?
Site24x7 checks the health of Azure resources every five minutes using the Azure Resource Health API. This API is supported by Azure services and periodically reports the status of each resource.
If Azure cannot determine the health of a resource during a check, the status will be marked as Unknown.
- This does not indicate a problem with the resource itself. It simply means Azure was unable to fetch the health information at that moment.
- When Site24x7 raises an alert for an Unknown status, you will also see the same status reflected in the Resource Health tab of the Azure portal at that time.
- If you prefer not to receive alerts for this scenario, you can disable them by setting Alert when the Resource health is unknown to No in the Threshold Profile settings for applicable monitors.
- Azure's Resource Health History automatically updates the Unknown status with the applicable status in some cases once health data is refreshed.
