Alerting mechanism for threshold violation in server monitoring
When the memory/CPU threshold for a server monitor exceeds, there are some basic checks done before alerting the end user. If there is a threshold violation in the current poll and the last five polls (including current poll) is more than the set threshold value, the system will trigger an alert to the user.
In addition, you can also pick a relevant strategy to validate the threshold breach and determine the trouble or critical status for your monitor under Advanced Settings (Strategy).
For disk utilization threshold, we trigger alerts if the current poll exceeds the set threshold limit. To know how to set a threshold value for a disk individually or at a global level, please click here.
