Understanding the Alert Notification badge in Site24x7

Alert Notifications badge

What is Alert Notification badge?

View real-time status updates for all your monitors with the Alert Notifications badge on the top-right corner of the client dashboard. This feature ensures that no critical updates are missed, even on a static window. Click a specific notification to navigate to the Monitor details page for relevant information. Click See All Notifications to view up to the last 100 notifications and click Mark All as Read once you are done. To stay informed, configure Browser Push Notifications.

Who gets notified?

Notifications are sent to user contacts associated with User Alert Groups linked to the configured monitors. These contacts receive alert notifications even if they do not have permission to view the monitor status.
For example, a sub user may have permission to access a specific monitor group called Zylker, allowing them to view and manage its monitors. However, they might also be associated with a User Alert Group that is linked to another monitor group, Zylker Operations. Even though the sub user does not have direct access to the monitors within Zylker Operations, being part of the User Alert Group means they will still receive notifications whenever an alert is triggered for any monitor in that group.
