How to Re-Add Deleted Cloud Monitors in Bulk

How to Re-Add Deleted Cloud Monitors in Bulk

Consider a situation where a team member logged into Site24x7 portal and has accidentally deleted one or more Azure cloud monitors or many monitors were removed as part of a cleanup, migration, or misconfigured automation and you need to add them back without having to discover and configure each one manually.

Re-adding Azure cloud monitors one by one is time-consuming, especially when monitors were auto-discovered across multiple subscriptions, accounts, or resource groups. Repeating the discovery process for each resource type is error-prone and can leave gaps in your monitoring coverage.

The solution

Site24x7's Bulk Actions page now includes a Bulk Re-Add Deleted Monitors option under Cloud Monitoring . This lets you select and restore previously deleted cloud monitors in a single operation.

Use cases

Accidental bulk deletion

A team member ran a bulk delete operation targeting a specific tag but the filter was too broad, removing monitors unintentionally. Use Bulk Re-Add Deleted Monitors to restore all affected monitors immediately.

Restoring monitors after a temporary period

Monitors were deleted to reduce license usage during a low-traffic period or budget cycle. When monitoring needs to resume, Bulk Re-Add Deleted Monitors lets you restore all of them at once, preserving their original configuration.

How it works

  1. Log in to your Site24x7 account.
  2. Navigate to Admin > Bulk Actions .
  3. Under the Cloud Monitoring section, select Bulk Re-Add Deleted Monitors .
  4. From the list, select the cloud monitors you want to restore. You can filter by monitor type, accounts, subscriptions, resource groups, and locations to narrow down the list.
  5. Click Re-Add to restore the selected monitors.

The selected monitors will be re-added and will resume data collection on the next poll cycle.
