ESXi monitoring - user fails to login

I have a VM ESXi host running VMware 6.5 and I can log in directly to the VM host with the monitoring account so I know the account is ok. However, when I configure site24x7 to monitor the host it fails with the error "

Cannot login monitoradmin@oxps-esx-hstmailto:-09.occ.local@10.200.231.100%22. The IP address of the on-site poller is 10.200.231.100 but site24x7 is configured to use the name "monitoradmin@oxps-esx-hstmailto:-09.occ.local@10.200.231.100%22". Why is it adding the @10.200.231.100 at the end and hence causing the login to fail?

Any ideas or help?
