Creating custom email template

Hey, 
 
I want to create custom email template for each alert I got (100 alerts total) and I found this difficult because if I want to associate email template to alert I need to create a new notification profile for it (which is makes things difficult - I need to create 100 email template and 100 notification profiles). in my opinion, email template section shouldn't be under "Notification profile", it should be separated from it so people can select which email template they want no matter what notification profile you got.
 
Is that possible to do?
