There should be an optionally configurable interaction between IP RESTRICTION for access to a SIQ status page and the password protection function for the same.
Users should NOT have to enter a password to access the a status page - when the page is password protected - IF the request is coming from one of the whitelisted IP addresses in the IP ACL. This will allow for a far more user friendly experience.
Whatever technology you're using to determine the requesting source IP (XFF Header?) use that to do a lookup against the IP restriction addresses, and bypass password requirement if there'a a match..
