[User access permission changes] - Custom Report and Global Benchmark Report
Hello, As you may be already aware, our Custom Report lets you quickly compile and generate an ad-hoc report with precise metrics of your chosen monitors for specified time periods. Similarly, our Global Benchmark Report helps you analyze and benchmark the availability or response time trends of your various website monitors or monitor groups from multiple global locations during a specified period. To enhance the overall usability and handling of these reports, we have made some modifications to
Process thresholds
Is there a way to use a specific numeric value for a process memory threshold that is not % based? We have a desire to alert when certain processes go above x GB memory usage. The % method is too variable since a systems total memory amount can skew the % meaning.
Infrastructure Map (New)
Since this nice release of the great team: www.site24x7.com/help/infrastructure-maps/index.html it's possible to create your own infrastructure map in Site24x7. It's very comfortable to see how the things work together and use it for a topology documentation also. Please add following functions to this feature: 1. Gridlines Tool 2. A blank icon for description possibility 3. A possibility to enlarge the icons like in dashboard (now it's only a small\large icon available) 4. Fit the icon regarding
S.M.A.R.T. Support?
It seems that this service does not support basic S.M.A.R.T. monitoring. Is this truly the case or have I missed the option entirely?
Backup & recovery & MySQL cluster monitoring
Hallo, currently we are looking to move from nagios to other SAAS providers, Would be great if you guys can provide a platform where I can get a complete view of my db masters and slaves. It will also be gro if I can manage my entire cluster from site24x7 console itself. We are also in need of backup and complete recovery options for our linux servers. Danke!!!
File Age Check
if there a file age check monitor available, if not, how could be done
Tags
Where can I find documentation on how the new "Tags" feature works? I know I can assign a tag to a monitor, but where else in the system other than the "monitors" list can I use the tags? For example, can I base a monitoring group's members dynamically from tags?
GovCloud (US) and AWS China Region support
Good day folks, We're excited to announce that Site24x7 is extending its monitoring footprint to the AWS resources and infrastructure components in your GovCloud (US) and China Region account. For customers and government organizations who're already leveraging Site24x7, this means you can start tracking the cloud resources powering your application deployments no matter where they are in the AWS cloud, in minutes ? whether that means visualizing spikes and drops in usage, configuring thresholds
Start monitoring the AWS services powering your AWS GovCloud (US) and China Region deployments with Site24x7.
You've been asking for it, and today we're excited to announce Site24x7 is extending its monitoring coverage to resources in AWS GovCloud (US) and AWS China Region. With this new support, we're making it easier for you to pull data from Infrastructure and PaaS services deployed across all your regions into a single monitoring platform, allowing you to gain a truly global view of your AWS cloud environment. What are AWS GovCloud (US) and AWS China Region? AWS GovCloud (US) is an isolated AWS region
Milestone Markers not popping up comments
Once a milestone marker has been created, it shows the comment icon in the graph, however; there is no way to see what the marker is about unless and Admin goes to the Admin -> Milestones page to check. Would be nice to be able to hover over the milestone comment icon and get a bubble containing the comment to show up so others would know what the marker was added for.
Tip #17: Analyze pageview consumption with Real User Monitoring
Want to gain insight into your Real User Monitoring (RUM) applications' pageviews consumption? You can analyze how many page views are consumed by your individual applications as well as their monthly usage. What's more, you also get an estimate of current month's projected pageview usage based on your applications' page view usage. This helps you forecast whether your pageview consumption will fall within your license limit or if you need to upgrade your plan. So, how do you get details about your
Webinar on setting up and editing Synthetic (Real Browser) checks
I know there is a recorder that does all the things automagically but it would be awesome to be able to understand in more detail how the recorder works as well as how to edit the check once it's created including the script. Things to cover would be, how to find the items you need to use in your check to ensure that the recorder grabbed the correct items. 1.) This is an example script from the recorder after it has been uploaded into Site24x7 (I changed some company info): begin_step("Step - 1 :
Cisco Spark Integration
The Slack Integration works perfectly! We would like to have an equally great integration in Cisco Spark. Unfortunately only a webhook integration with restrictions is possible. Not all parameters can be send and it is not very well formatted.
Chrome and Firefox are distrusting certain SSL Certificates - Find out if your site is affected!
As per the agreement between Google and Symantec to distrust the latter's root certificates, Symantec's SSL certificates issued before June 1st, 2016 will no longer be trusted starting from Google Chrome 66. Additionally, Google Chrome 70 will distrust all Symantec certificates. Mozilla Firefox and other browsers will distrust these certificates soon. This also means that SSL Certificates provided by sub-CAs like GeoTrust, RapidSSL, Thawte and more could also be affected. Use our Free SSL Certificate
Report Layout Customization
Hi, It would be good if I can view the summarization report for all the server in below layout and able to export as PDF.
Increase RDS Aurora Auto Scale polling time
We recently started using Aurora MySQL, including a read replica. We implemented an auto scaling policy. The policy worked successfully, the read replica came on board, offloaded the connections, then as things calmed down, the connections drained and it was removed. All told this process took 30 minutes. Site 24x7 never picked up the auto scaling RDS instance. I contacted support and the RDS polling time is hourly. Unless the auto scaling instance lasts for an hour, at the minimum, it will not be

Tip #16: View APM metrics for specific time periods using APM Insight Performance reports
Where do you look when you want to assess your application's performance over a period of time? Sure, you can always view data from the last hour to the last 24 hours to gather the latest insights. You can also choose a specific date or compare two dates to analyze your application's performance. But what if you want to assess your application's performance over the past three months? Or from July to December of 2017? Where would you look for these metrics? Don't worry - We have this data archived
Plugin Bulk Action and Import
I found a problem when I try to change a profile threshold for many plugins, there's no option to perform bulk association of a threshold profile for plugin monitors, another point is import the plugin csv file, after export it. Please, there's a way to implement this feature?
Obtaining Montior name based on status of the monitor using REST API 2.0
Hi All, I am currently getting data regarding all monitors from Site 24X7 into SPLUNK using Site24X7 exposed REST API .But I would like to get all the monitors based on the status .In particular I am interested in status down(i.e., status constant 0) status up(i.e., status constant 1) status trouble(i.e., status constant 2) like I am exactly look for an API end point which can pull me only monitors that are up, down and trouble. I could not find the this in API 2.0 documentation. Please advise me
FR: Agent and plugin Updates
Will there be an option to push upgrades to agents and custom plugins from the web console? Thanks Eric
FR: FIM
I like that the system can monitor specific files and folders. I would like to see a basic File Integrity Monitor option as well. I might write a PowerShell plugin to accomplish this for now when I have time. Thanks Eric
Threshold Combination Alert ?
Dear Team, is it possible to create a alert based on 2 thresholds. We have a HyperV which is overcommited sometimes. I will get an alert if following happens:
FR: Top10 Administrative Events in Eventlog (last 30 days)
I have a feature request for Windows Server. Please add: 1. Top10 Administrative Events in the eventlog of a server (last 30 days) of a specific server (in the server view - summary and also to select in the dashboard) 2. Last 10 Administrative Events in the eventlog of a server (in the server view - summary and also to select in the dashboard) 3. Top 10 Administrative Events in the eventlog of a server for a Monitor Group (in the monitor group view and also to select in the dashboard) 4. Top 10
Getting granular availability from API
Currently, we can do checks down to a minute for websites in the app; but you can only get down to hourly data from the API. It would be nice to have the option to get this minute granular data via the API calls, maybe adding an extra arg in the call could work. Current use: '?period=0&unit_of_time=2' Posible use: '?type=URL&period=0&unit_of_time=2'
Show time zones whenever you prompt for dates/times
At various places in the UI, you're asking to get input for a date and/or time (e.g. when viewing reports, or setting up scheduled maintenance). Given the nature of your service I think it would be very helpful to show the time zone that you're using for these fields - given that it could be (a) my browser time zone, (b) my Site24x7 time zone, or (c) UTC. I'm pretty sure that it's (b), but in my opinion it'd be nice to make this more explicit and would help usability.
Plugin: Network Hops and Round Trip TIme
This plugin will return the hops in a trace route and the round trip time. Needs the latest version of PowerShell. Set primary and secondary destination by name or IP. $version = 1 #Mandatory $displayname = "Trace on $env:computername" $heartbeat = "false" #Mandatory Function Get-Data() { $destination = "9.9.9.9" #Primary DNS $altdestination = "192.168.0.1" #EDGE Router if ((Test-NetConnection $destination).PingSucceeded) {} else {$destination = $altdestination} $results = Test-NetConnection $destination
Adjustable Push Notifications
This may already be a feature although I can not find it anywhere. Although we can manage user notifications method and what type of alerts they will recieve. If that user is sign in to there account via the app, the push notifications seem to under mine these settings. For example... If user "Joe.Blogs" is set up only to recieve the `Up` and `Down` alerts. If they sign in to the app on there phone they would recieve a notifcations for `New Devices` and `Trouble Monitors` in addition to the preset
Plugins
Is there a customer provided custom plugin sharing site? I wouldn't mind sharing the few I have done so far. Thanks Eric
View Maintenance windows applicable to a monitor
When I'm looking at a monitor, I want to know what maintenance windows exist for it. The only two ways to do this currently are 1) to run an API call end extract the data (which is a pain because you have to check the monitor for maintenance windows and the monitor's group membership & see if these groups have any maintenance windows set). 2) Create a public status page with the monitor, and view the public page. Honestly we need to see the maintenance windows listed in a new tab for the monitor's
Start monitoring your CloudFront web distributions with Site24x7
Good day, folks, In recent months, we've added monitoring support for a number of Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help you get a more comprehensive view of all the components powering your cloud-based applications. Today, I'm excited to say that we're adding one more service to that growing list - Amazon CloudFront, a global content delivery network in the AWS Cloud. For Site24x7 customers, this means CloudFront monitoring in minutes; time series visualizations to identify trends in data transfers and
Tip #15: Enhance the end-user experience by integrating RUM into Public Status Pages
With a Site24x7 Public Status Page, you can share the real-time status of your applications and services to your customers. You can make these Status Pages publicly visible with permalinks or iFrames, eliminating the need for users to log in to your application to view this information. You can also notify your customers beforehand with announcements, like in the case of scheduled maintenance. Additionally, you can integrate real user monitoring (RUM) into your public status pages-which is just icing
FR: Remote Desktop Application Monitor
Please add a application\monitor in your Site24x7 portfolio to look deeper in the remote desktop role of a server: 1. Last logon user on a remote desktop server 2. All users on a remote desktop server (with running processes [Kill process feature] and active or idle time) 3. All users on a RDS Farm (Connection broker) overview (with disconnect\log off and shadow/msra feature) 4. Logon times for user logons 5. Overview about used CPU\RAM\DiskIO for each user 6. Top 10 ranking for all users in a RDS
User session monitoring
Can have user session monitoring in Magento application? So can see the flow of the particular user's requests, which is necessary when a user reported issue so that we can track what happened
Gain deeper insight into your AWS environment with our new multi-monitor metric views
One of the biggest challenges in a self-provisioned, public cloud environment like Amazon Web Services (AWS) is finding the right balance between resources, performance, and cost. With no initial visibility into usage stats, AWS customers tend to overprovision compute, storage, and database resources to cushion sudden spikes in demand. If users could see resource usage, they'd be able to determine if the numbers provisioned are really in line with the application workload. Luckily, Site24x7's custom
API only User
I would like to be able to create api access users without needing to give access to the site. It would be great if as the super admin I could generate api keys for varying degrees of permission (using the existing roles is fine) without actually giving access to the site. The only piece that is a hindrance currently is that to create an api token I must add a user that is at least read-only, which is fine, but I must also have a valid email account to login as the user to create the token. I currently
Monitor Crond / cPanel Cron
Hi. I need add monitor to cron, i found today all crons in cpanel not works and i need monitor to see this. Thanks

AWS monitoring platform updates - Additional metrics and support for Amazon Aurora.
Monitor key metrics for Amazon Aurora A number of AWS customers have been asking us for improved visibility into their Amazon RDS performance. Today we're happy to oblige that request by bringing in monitoring support for the Aurora database (DB) engine - Amazon's MySQL and PostgreSQL-compatible relational database. In recent years, Aurora has emerged as one of the most popular DB engines in the AWS cloud. It runs a broad set of demanding workloads and has gained immense popularity among a number
Monitor Amazon Aurora Mysql RDS isn't working 100%
Site24x7 discovered the instance, has populated the metrics, but it's not displaying many metrics that it should. I've verified those metrics have data in cloudwatch, but they just say "no data." Latency, read/write operations, throughput, etc., none are populating.
