Would be nice to acknowledge a monitor alert
I have an azure iaas server that frequently goes over %85 memory utilization. It is cost prohibitive to go to a higher tier. It's a lot of work to have to go and make a new threshold profile just for that one monitor. There is no clone functionality to just tweak one setting. It would be nice to be able to acknowledge an alert and no longer get constantly spammed about it.
Group by AWS Tag
It seems today you can add monitor groups/subgroups and add instances in there as needed. It would be helpful if you could set the monitor group/subgroup to contain all AWS instances discovered with a tagging condition (i.e. Name contains ___) The advantage with this is if we tagged new AWS instances they?d automatically fall under the right group/subgroup.
Real Windows Service Monitoring
While evaluating your service, I noticed that if you pause a monitored windows service, no alert is triggered. If a service is in any state other than "Running", it is not up and should trigger an alert. This suggests to me that you are saying you are monitoring the service in the UI but you are actually monitoring the process under the covers. What if a service hangs at starting or stopping? The exe would technically be running but not functional thus in an error state that you would likely miss.
Active object monitoring templates
It would be great if I could create and associate monitoring templates with groups of servers. Template one monitors windows services "Windows Serv 1" and "Windows Serv 2" Template two monitors windows services "Windows Serv 3" and "Windows Serv 4" I have these two groups associated with 100 servers. Tomorrow I realize I missed a service that should be associated with Template two so I add "Windows Serv 5" to that template. Apparently this only affects newly added servers or servers I go purposely
Suppress Restart Outages
Currently any server restart is seen as an outage and causes an alert. We perform automatic windows updates and restarts, although these are scheduled the scheduled time doesn't dictate the exact restart time, we do not wish to have long maintenance periods and so would like a feature to automatically set the server into maintenance mode following the restart event system 1074. We have tried to do this using a scheduled task and powershell script to the api but it appear the agent is killed and alerts
Current Connections and/or Current Requests in IIS Thresholds
I would like to request the addition of Current Connections (and/or Current Requests) in the IIS Threshold Profiles. Right now, there are only three options (Site down, App Pool down, and Network Traffic), which are distinctly less useful for monitoring individual server load. I know I can set the option under each monitor by going to the Applications tab and modifying the threshold value there, but being able to set a global profile value and assign the profile to a group would be much more efficient.
Find the Creator of a monitor
Hi, Can we have a possible way to see who created a specific monitor in Site24x7? I can go to Audit logs and search to find out, but it takes a long time. Thank you
(Custom) Cloudwatch Metrics
Cloudwatch offers a bunch of metrics to set alerts on. In addition one can push custom metrics to Cloudwatch and set alerts on those. Now I'm the site24x7 advocate in our company, but it's getting harder and harder for me to sell that site24x7 can't use Cloudwatch metrics. Meaning, one cannot add monitors in site24x7 based on (custom) metrics. This leaves us no choice but to set alerts in Cloudwatch and keep using it for some alerts, while we really want one centralized solution. Is this something
More attributes on Custom Reports
Currently in Custom Reports, the only attribute available is Response Time for all of the Monitor Types, are there any plans to expand on this and allow for more of the gathered data to be used?
Align charts on monitor page
Currently, the Events Timeline chart is not aligned with the remaining charts on the monitor page. Even though there are some lines on the CPU chart, when there are many such events, it's hard to correlate them without mousing over to read about them. If the chart had the same width of the other ones, it would be easy to correlate things visually. So, instead of this: we could have this: It's not a major issue, just a minor visual improvement.
Allow Alert Logs to be exported
We have a requirement to keep all our logs related to outages for a minimum period of 1 year, it would be nice if we could automatically export these logs.
MSP NOC view wording
We plan to have the MSP noc view up on a couple of screens here. With a filtered view showing only Trouble and Down monitors. If there are no monitors in this state, the message displays, "No Monitors Available", which sounds like you don't have anything configured. "No Monitors in Trouble/Down State" or something similar, would be a better description.
Roadmap Update Q3/Q4 2017
We have some powerful features lined up for the product for the coming quarter. Many of these are in advanced stages of development. Server Monitoring Product: IT Automation: This is the favorite one for our server monitoring developers. They have been on it for more than a few months. The Admin > Actions is getting a makeover, and we will be releasing what we call as our step towards helping automate your routine production tasks when there is a performance or uptime problem. Administrators like
Need to add comment for all maintenances on availability reports
Can you also check the feasibility of adding comment for all maintenances on availability reports. In our organization we have a practice of adding ticket number in comments field and can definitely reduce our efforts in reporting if this feature is enabled.

Maintenance Window function is broken, or the Alerting Period function is broken.
I was asked to move this to a "Feature Request", so here goes... I am having problems with Maintenance Windows. Our I.T. department has the "potential" to work on servers between midnight and 4AM. To prevent an avalanche of emails to the Programmers and Designers, I setup a daily maintenence window for this time frame. Immediately afterwards we began noticing that it was affecting our up-time SLAs even if the server or service never went down. In fact, during a maintenance window, all monitoring
Monitor during scheduled maintenance, but don't alert
We have some monitors that look at a third-party service that is often offline at night time. We'd like to be able to have the checks against these monitors continue to run during the night time, but not to receive any alerts. This way we would have a history that we can use if we ever need to show information about their services. We're using the 'scheduled maintenance' feature to disable the monitors during night time, but this is not really what we want, since we want to continue to poll - just
Send "Up due to maintenance" notification when maintenance is scheduled
I'd like for the system to send an alert when there is a downed monitor and it is put into maintenance. The alert should include the word "UP" as a standard up alert would give but also notate due to maintenance. This will allow for autoresolve of incidents created by down alerts that occur due to missed maintenance scheduling.
Domain Expiry monitor for other TLD's
I chatted with someone and was told to make this feature request so I could be notified when it was released. I am trying to add .ca, .co, and .us domains to the expiry monitor and currently they fail.
Role Monitoring Microsoft Failover Cluster
The Microsoft Failover Cluster Advanced Monitor should report the status of the roles of the cluster and alert if the role moves to another node. We utilize Failover Clustering for our SQL instances and to monitor SQL instances at the moment we have to install the monitor for the instance on both the active and passive nodes. If the instance isn't live on a node, Site 24x7 reports that the monitor is down, when it is live, just on another node. So currently we have duplicates of all our instances
response time
Hi, In response time graph time is in ms. But we want that in seconds, Is there any option for that
Uptime on the Status Page (make something configurable)
Hello everyone, Nowadays on the status page we can show only the last seven days of status and all the calculate of uptime is based on this period. I would suggest to have something configurable, so we could present the currently month or any time period we would like to consider. Thanks a lot, Ruy
Alert Notification via email
Good morning, We've a problem with alert settings. We've configure (see the attachment), but it not work very well. Example: we've configure that NOT send email in the week-end and instead we receive. The support response: Our apologies that the 'Alerting Period' and 'Don't Alert Me' settings in the contact page applies only to the Phone(voice) and SMS alerts. The email alerts are not controlled by these settings. Hence, it is expected that the emails were triggered over the weekends. I understand
WARNING state
Right now a monitor is either in error (TROUBLE or DOWN) or not. There is no in between. It's very hard to limit the amount of nightly alerts like this. For each breach, we get an alert, even for things that could wait until the morning. For example. If a disk space threshold is reached, we get an alert, regardless of the time of day. We could create policies in Opsgenie to delay these alerts, but what if the file system is really filling up then to 100%? We wouldn't know until it causes actual downtime.
Need to display data feed from custom plugins in table form
Hello Currently displaying data, fetched by custom plugins, in tabular format is not supported by the engine. Can you add it to your Product Road Map? Thanks
Event Log email reporting
Please develop event log email reporting with event entry filters and description of event.
Timepicker Stickyness
Is it possible, in a future update, when the timepicker is selected it stays on that selection. It reverts back to 24 hours every time. This happens when refreshing a page, or when going back to a page. For example: I set the timepicker to last month, I see an entry that had a problem, select that entry / url, and the timepicker jumps back to 24 hours. This reverting back is quite annoying, especially when inspecting Monitor Groups (with 20+ checks). Regards
User monitor groups for Third Party Integrations
Right now third party integrations are limited to individual monitors only. When we start adding more and more monitors and placing them into monitor groups for organization/function, we need the integrations to tie to the monitor groups instead of the individual monitors.
Dashboard View, Clone NOC View
we would like to have the option of creating a new dashboard based on the NOC view setup, we find it ideal for at a glance, but have departments that don't care about servers or services, just websites that are up (our customers) would be beneficial to be able to select by group as well for this type of view.
Changing the primary node hides historical data
I changed the primary node of one of our real browser monitors and now none of the metric prior to the change are displayed. Changing the primary node cannot be an uncommon practice and should not cause historical data to be hidden. This is one more nail in the coffin, we are going to a different solution!
Choose differents Blocking Domains according to the monitors
Hello, I suggest that we can define different blocking domains on each monitor. Regards, Stphane
MSP level reporting
hi all, I'm wondering what options there are in the roadmap for MSP level reporting. A really useful thing we need to know, for example, is what Services and Processes have been defined for monitoring, across all customers. If we could produce an exportable report, we could then see what service monitors we're missing. Is there a chance of this functionality coming?
Manual Update of Packet Count for Ping Checks
It would be nice to be able to to set the amount of packets we would prefer to set for ping checks. Setting 3 as the default and not giving customers the option to change it creates more work to setup a check that needs more than 3 packets because we have to open a support ticket and wait for Site24x7 to change it. It also creates lots of false positives because failing on one packet automatically breaks the default threshold for ping checks.
Feature Request : Finer grained alert time set ups
We would like to have finer control on when SMS/phone alerts are sent.During the work day we get emails and alerts via Slack, so we don't need the SMS alerts. However, out of hours and weekends we want to have SMS alerts. For example, on a work day (Mon-Fri) we want text alerts out of hours in blocks e.g. from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., then 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. On a Saturday and Sunday we want SMS alerts from 7 a.m to 11 p.m. Currently you can only have one block of time which applies to all days of the week.
Memory and Disk Utilization Performance graph in status page
Currently we can view only the CPU performance graph in the status page.
Need to add the monitoring servers to the Groups automatically using the name of the server
Dear Team, It would be great if we have a feature like automatically adding a newly added server to the appropriate monitoring group with the help of the monitor name. For example, In Active directory based on WMI filtering, the servers are added to appropriate OU based on the name or few letters of the name. Looking forward for such feature in Site24x7 which will reduce the manual effort of adding the servers to the group.
Seperate alert for Backup and replication jobs
Need seperate alert for Backup and replication jobs in SQL Servers.
Milestones via API
I noticed that we can set Milestone Markers on the monitors in Site24x7, would be nice to be able to set these up via the API so we can automate them via a ConfigDB type system or just any in-house automating system.
Automating Milestone Marker via API
I like that Milestone Markers were introduced, however; it would be nice to be able to mark these via API. This way, when changes are made that affects the monitors, we can automate the milestone creation via an API push without having someone manually logging in and doing it.
EC2 System and Instance Checks
In Cloudwatch, you have System and Instance checks. One checks the health of the physical host your EC2 instance is running on, the other checks the health of the EC2 instance itself: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/monitoring-system-instance-status-check.html Last night we had an instance that failed the instance checks, and we were alerted by Cloudwatch itself. We did get an alert that the agent was disconnected, but no instance check failures. Are these metrics being monitored?
